'지도'의 길을 통한 삶의 여정에 관한 상징적 표현연구

Abstract

본 논문에 제시된 2011년에 창작된 본인의 작품들은 모두 길이 내재되어있는 상징적 의미를 효과적으로 감상자들에게 전달하기 위해서, 실제공간을 종이위에 점과 특수한 기호로 나타난 지도를 사용한 점이다. 지도는 공간의 상징적 표상으로써 지도의 길 을 통해, 삶의 여정에 관해 상징적 의미를 나타내고자하며, 현대사회의 소통이자, 통로로서의 삶의 여정을 이야기하고자한다. 지도의 블록을 오려내고 길만 남은 지도의 형태를 통해 수많은 길 위에 있는 인간의 삶의 경로이자 여정에 대한 이야기를 지도의 길로서 시각적으로 부각시켰다. 본 연구에서는 일정한 비율로 축소화 된, 지도에서 길이 아닌 빈 공간 만 오려 내어, 길이 나는 구조를 드러내기 위해 지도에서 길이라는 구조를 형상화 하였다. 오브제로서 지도를 사용한 도시 속 수많은 길 위에 서있는 인간의 삶속에서 우리의 위치를 통해, 삶의 방향성을 제시하고자 한다. 본인의 연작작품은‘당신의 행선지는 어디입니까(where is your direction)’은 연작형태에 관한 작품이다. 작품을 다음과 함께 분석하였다.

제Ⅰ장의 서론은 본인의 작품에 대한 연구 목적과 연구 방법에 대하여 제시하였다. 제Ⅱ장의 본론은 3절로 구성되었으며, 제1절은 작품의 형성배경으로, 지도의 상징적 의미와, 선의기호로서 길의 상징적의미를 바탕으로 지도를 통한 행선지를 시각적 표현의 인식적 토대를 설명하려고 하였다. 제2절은 지도의 블록을 오려냄으로서 해체하고, 남겨진 지도의 길이 갖는 조형적 특성 살펴보고, 축척되고 중첩된 다양한 형태의 구조를 통해, 평면성의 지도가 입체적으로 어떻게 시각화하였는지 연구하고자한다. 제3절의 작품분석에서는 본인의 조형적인 작품과정을 제작과정, 재료, 기법적인 부분으로 기술하여 정리하였다. 제Ⅲ장 결론에서는 논문의 내용을 정리하고, 본인의 작업의 가능성과 문제점을 짚어보고, 향후 본인 작품의 연구와 진행 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. |All that work from 2011 was effectively designed for delivering symbolic meaning of the road. I used maps that were printed in dots and marks. The map is the symbol of the space. Therefore I'd like to show about the symbolic meaning of journey of life with the map and describe journey of life as communication on nowadays. At first I cut out block of the map. It allows far more visible to emphasize, moreover it helps express journey of life.

A study on this work, I plied the clipping map, a scale drawing, up in order to give shape to far-reaching structure of road. Further more I propose directivity of life through our location in the crowd, which is those standing on the road in the city.

My new work is an art series of 'Where is your direction'. I analyzed my work as follows. The first chapter as introduction is suggested the object of research and the method of research. Main subject in Chapter 2 consists of three parts. The first part is background of work formation. I tried to explain visible and cognitive foundation of destination based on symbolic meaning of the map and road as line. In the second part, I examined formative character of road, disaggregated and remined road on the map by cutting, and I studied how uniplanar map can be visualized through several types of overlapped structure. Finally, in the third part, I explained how to make works such as making, material, and technique. In the third chapter, I took a moment to review, sussing out the possibility of my work and clearly stating problem, plus I signposted a study of the outlook for my work.
