중학교 일차방정식의 활용 문제 연구

Abstract

중학교 1학년 과정에서 일차방정식의 활용문제는 일상 언어로 되어있는 문제에서 미지수를 정하고, 문제의 뜻에 맞는 방정식을 세우고, 방정식을 풀어서 문제를 해결하는 복잡한 절차를 거치게 되므로, 1학년 수준에서 매우 어려운 것임에 틀림없다. 본 연구는 일차방정식 활용문제의 유형 중 학생들이 어려워하는 유형에 대한 효과적인 지도 방안을 모색하는데 목적을 두었다. 본 연구에서는 일차 방정식과 일차방정식의 활용 문제에 대한 학생들의 전반적인 인식을 알아보고, 이를 바탕으로 ‘일차방정식의 활용’단원을 중심으로 중학교 1학년 학생들이 일차방정식 및 교과서에 제시된 문장제를 풀이하는 과정에서 범하는 오류들을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 많은 학생들이 ‘일차방정식의 활용’의 농도 문제와 거리 문제, 그리고 길이 또는 넓이 문제의 유형에서 특히 어려움을 겪고 있었으며 문제를 풀이 하는 과정 중 문제를 읽고 조건에 맞는 식을 세우는 단계와 올바른 식을 세우더라도 등식의 성질과 계수를 정수로 바꾸는 과정에서의 연산의 성질에 대한 잘못된 이해와 연습의 부족으로 방정식을 푸는 단계에서도 많은 학생들이 어려움을 호소하고 있었다. 따라서 등식의 성질과 연산의 성질에 대한 보다 정확한 지도가 필요하며 학생들의 오류를 발견하는 즉시 교사들의 즉각적인 수정을 통해 학생들이 이와 같은 어려움을 극복할 수 있도록 해야 하고 문제를 읽고 식으로 표현하는 과정에서 여러 전략을 이용하는 방법 등의 지도가 이루어 져야 할 것으로 보인다.|To solve an application problems of linear equations, our students may understand the problem given in ordinary languages rather than mathematical notations, find indeterminates, make appropriate equations and solve the equations. So our students may have severe difficulties with this complicated process and may be discouraged by this difficulties. This paper aims to find an effective methods of teaching the types of application problems of linear equations, especially the types which our students may think hard to solve. In this paper, we investigate the awareness and attitude for application problems of linear equations by a survey. Also, we analyze the types of errors in which first graders in junior high schools solve those problems given in the text. As results, we find that many students especially have difficulties in solving the problems of concentrations of liqiuds, problems of speed and distance, and problems of length and areas of some figure. And they make some errors in making appropriate equations and changing their equations by using the properties of equations. They have some misunderstanding and poor practice in the property of the four fundamental operations, which led them to solve their equation incorrectly. Therefore, we have to spend more time to teach the accurate properties of operations and equations. And if a teacher finds students' error, he must help them to find where the error occurs and how to correct the answer immediately. Also it may be helpful to show them some strategies to overcome these difficulties.
