중학교 음악교과서의 '다른 나라 노래 부르기'관련 분석

Abstract

21세기의 세계화, 정보화 시대에 따라 인류는 서로 가까워지고 있으며, 다문화사회로 접어들고 있다. 이에 따라 다문화주의교육의 필요성이 대두된다. 2007 음악과 교육과정에서도 각 학년마다 ‘다른 나라 노래 부르기’를 명시하고 있으며, 다양한 시대와 지역, 문화권의 음악을 경험하도록 하는 다문화주의를 강조하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 다문화음악교육에 대한 연구로, 2007 음악과 교육과정에 의한 중학교 음악교과서 5종을 중심으로 교과서에 수록된 세계민요의 지역적인 분포를 분석하고, 다문화주의를 반영한 학습내용을 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 분석한 결과와 논의를 바탕으로 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 중학교 음악교과서에 수록된 세계민요의 지역별 분포는 2007 음악과 교육과정에 명시한대로, 아시아민요는 7학년에, 유럽민요는 8학년에, 아메리카민요는 9학년에 가장 많은 수록하고 있는 것으로 보아 중학교 음악교과서는 2007 음악과 교육과정을 잘 반영하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 2007 음악과 교육과정에 제시된 다문화주의를 반영한 세계민요 학습내용분석의 활동영역에는 ‘다른 나라 노래 부르기’가 가장 많이 나타났으며, 이는 대부분의 세계민요의 학습활동이 ‘노래 부르기’로 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 다양한 학습방법연구의 필요성이 제기되었다. 셋째, 이해영역의 ‘여러 가지 악기의 종류와 음색’에는 각 나라의 전통악기를 그림과 간단한 설명과 연주곡만으로 제시되어있었으며, 이는 다문화주의 학습내용이 가장 부족해보였으며, 생활화 영역에는 ‘생활 속에서 음악 활동하기’를 통해 민요가 불리던 상황과 쓰임, 배경을 알아봄으로써, 학생들의 다른 나라 노래에 대한 이해를 넓히도록 하고 있었다. 2007 음악과 교육과정은 학생들이 다양한 시대와 지역, 문화권의 음악을 접하도록 명시하고 있다. 중학교 음악교과서는 여러 문화권에 관한 각 민족의 세계민요를 학습함으로, 학생들의 다양한 문화에 대한 이해를 넓히도록 하고 있다.| With the age of globalization and information in the 21st century, human beings are getting closer to each other, and are entering into a multi-cultural society. Accordingly, the need for the multi-cultural education comes to the fore. In the 2007 music curriculum as well, "singing other countries' songs" is specified for each grade, and the multi-culturalism that makes students experience the music of different periods, regions and cultural areas is being emphasized. Therefore, as the study on the education of multi-cultural music, the purpose of this study is to analyze the regional distribution of the world's folk songs contained in the textbooks focusing on five types of music textbooks and the content of learning that reflected multi-culturalism. It can be summarized as follows based on the results of analysis and discussion. First, it could be well seen that the regional distribution of the world's folk songs contained in the middle school music textbooks is well reflecting the music curriculum by the fact that the Asian folk songs are mostly contained in the music textbooks for the 7th grade, European folk songs for the 8th grade and American folk songs for the 9th grade as specified in the 2007 music curriculum. Second, "singing other countries' songs" was the most common in the activity area for the content analysis of learning presented in the 2007 music curriculum. This revealed that most of the learning activities of world's folk songs are being done in 'singing songs', and the need for the studies on various learning methods was raised. Third, the traditional musical instruments of each country were presented only with pictures, brief descriptions and music in the 'types and tone color of different musical instruments' of the area of understanding, and the content of learning seemed most insufficient. The daily learning area is widening the students' understanding of other countries' songs through 'doing musical activities in daily life' by investigating the situation, use and background that the folk songs have been sung. The 2007 music curriculum specifies that students should encounter the music of different periods, regions and cultural areas. Middle school music textbooks are widening the students' understanding of different cultures by learning the world's folk songs of each nation in different cultural areas.
