中學校 美術敎育의 粘土活用方法

Abstract

우리나라의 중학교 미술교육에서 조형능력을 신장할 수 있는 점토 활용방안을 알아보기 위하여 우선 설문지를 통해 재학생들이 느끼는 점토에 대한 의견을 들어보고 현직 미술 담당교사들의 면담을 통하여 자료수집을 하였다. 그 분석 결과, 점토가 점력이 좋고 가소성이 있어서 조형감각을 익히고 입체감을 느끼는데 좋은 재료인 것은 알고 있지만, 많은 학교에서 교육과정에는 있으나 실제로 점토수업을 하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 실정에 점토를 보다 효율적으로 활용하기 위해서 먼저, 1·2·3학년에 걸쳐 단계적인 점토수업을 한다. 그리고 학생들이 보다 전문적인 수업을 들을 수 있도록 1년에 1~2회 정도 전문강사 초빙제를 운영 할 수도 있다. 대부분의 학교에는 구울 수 있는 가마가 설치되어 있지 않으며, 건조와 보관을 위한 저장고나 학생들이 여유 있게 작업할 수 있는 실기공간이 부족한 실정이다. 이러한 점을 보완하기 위하여 여러학교가 공동으로 수업 할 수 있는 교류활동을 시도하는 일이다. 따라서 인근 학교끼리 가마를 공동으로 사용한다든지, 또는 미술대학과 협력관계를 맺어 학생들에게 실기를 할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 것이다. 점토수업에 있어서 가장 중요한 것은 학생들이 흥미가 있어야 한다. 그러기 위하여 작업을 실제로 해보는 것이 좋으며, 완성된 결과물을 학생들이 직접 확인할 수 있게 함이 중요하다. 이것은 학습의욕을 고취하고 조형감각을 높이는데 커다란 역할을 하기 때문이다. 따라서 중학교 학생들의 조형감각을 신장시키기 위하여 점토는 어느 재료보다도 우수하고, 점토 실기 학습은 조형학습으로 중요한 역할을 할 수 있음을 알았다. 현행 교육과정에서 보다 수업시간을 늘리고 성실히 이행함은 미술교육에서 커다란 의미를 갖게 할 것이다.|Fine art education aims at fostering the aesthetic attitude to be able to feel and enjoy the beauty of surrounding world and make the improvement of originality and the emotional cultivation to be based on critical thinking. For the emotion cultivation of youths, sensitivity education as leisure activity to be able to enjoy the leisure of life, thinking, feeling, and experiencing directly which is not the mechanical study for learning basic knowledge is important. What is significant as the material to be closet to human beings and to be basic as what can purify the inside world of human beings, develop the sensitivity, and offer the opportunity of emotional experience like this is just clay. This clay has good condition to be able to give help to the extension of molding ability of students as the material that the possibility of molding expression is high as soft material. First, one may feel diverse touches in accordance with moisture content. Second, one may transform as one's own will, as plasticity and adhesion are good. Third, one may express the cubic sense to be based on molding ability effectively. Fourth, there is no refusal sense to students as stable natural material. Thus, in this study, this researcher obtained the following conclusion about the meaning that clay lesson has. First, as working through soil which is the base of nature may regain human innate form and it may enable one to be intimate with nature, it can be said that it contributes toward the purification of emotion. Second, adhesion and plasticity that soil has enable one to work in any form and to transform. So, it gives help to the improvement of molding ability and the extension of originality through various expression activities. Third, as clay lesson may not be completed within short time, it may enable students to foster endurance through various courses. Fourth, preparation for the opportunity to be able to learn traditional china course through clay lesson may enable students to understand traditional china culture which shared with our history.
