중학교 미술과 교육에서 조소영역 주제에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 현행 중학교 미술교과서에 나와있는 조소영역의 주제를 분석하여 다양한 학습자의 창의성과 조소영역의 표현방법의 문제점을 인식하여 미술교육의 체계와 방향을 모색하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구의 이론적 배경에서는 미술교육 개념과 교육과정을 살펴보고 조소의 개념과 특성과 분류로 조소교육의 위치와 의의를 고찰하였다. 본 연구의 내용은 중학교 검인정 미술교과서의 편찬실태, 단원 중 조소의 비중, 단원의 내용 및 주제, 도판내용, 재료의 표현기법 및 가능성을 주제와 연관하여 분석하였다. 질문지는 경기지역 미술교사를 대상으로 교과서의 인식도와 주제에 대한 인식도를 분석하여 미술교육의 문제점과 개선방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 자료수집은 1995-1997년 초판 발행된 미술교과서 1, 2, 3학년 전체인 7종 21권의 조소 단원의 내용을 분석하였고, 1999년에 대한 교과서에서 발행한 「중학교 교육과정 해설집(Ⅳ) 과 서울교육대학교 미술교육과 대학원과 성신여자대학교 교육대학원의 「미술교육과정」의 자료들을 토대로 연구를 완성하였다. 이상의 연구내용과 절차를 통하여 현행 미술교과서의 조소내용과 주제를 조사 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻고자 하였다. 첫째, 현행 중학교 미술교과서의 조소영역은 타영역에 비하여 단원수, 쪽수 등이 낮은 비율로 취급하고 있어 교과서 쪽수를 늘리고 단원수는 줄여서 이론과 참고작품 및 제작과정을 충분히 고려하여 학습의 이해도를 높여야 한다. 둘째, 조소학습에서 교과서는 수업 보조수단으로 사용되는데 현행 교과서에서의 조소영역의 주제들은 한정된 내용이 중복되어있고, 1, 2, 3학년의 구별없이 반복되어지고 있어 각 학년의 수준에 맞게 학습의 흥미와 관심을 높이고, 창의력을 높일 수 있는 다양한 학습 방법이 요구된다. 셋째, 현 미술교과서는 구상작품이 주를 이루고 있는데 현대는 과학 기술의 발달로 인하여 첨단 기술, 소재 등이 개발되고 이로 인한 미술세계 또한 다양한 재료의 기법에 의하여 급속도로 변모되고 있는 상황이므로 이런 현대 흐름에 맞는 자유로운 주제표현이 이루어져야 한다.|The purpose of this study is to seek system and direction of fine arts education by recognizing various problems of learners' creativity and expressive methods in formative art part through analyzing its subjects handled in current textbooks for fine art class in middle school. For the theoretical background for this study, concept and a curriculum of fine arts education were examined and status and meaning of formative arts education through concept, characteristics and classification of formative arts studied. In the contents of the study, status of approved fine art textbook compilation, weigh of formative arts in lesson units, content and subject of lesson units, illustration, availability and expressive technics for materials were analyzed related to the subject. For this purpose, contents of formative art units on approved 21 fine art textbooks of seven kinds of 1st, 2nd 3rd grade that were first edition from 1995 to 1997 were analyzed. This study was completed based on the 「Explanation Ⅳ of Middle School Curriculum」 for the textbooks of 1999 and documents on 「Fine Arts Education Curriculum」 of Graduate School of Education, Sunshin Women's University and Seoul Teachers College. Through the above subject and procedure of this study by analyzing contents and the subject of formative arts on current fine art textbooks, following results were obtained: First, it should increase number of pages and extend lesson units to raise students' understanding to fine art class fully taking into consideration theories, referred works and work construct process. The formative art part on middle school art textbooks is currently treated at low portion compared with other parts. Second, the text book in formative art class is supplementary tool and its subjects on current text books are redundant and repeated regardless grade. Hence, various learning methods are needed to raise students' interests, attentions and creativity according to the level of each grade. Third, constructive arts are main on current fine art textbooks but liberal thematic expression to meet contemporarily stream should be introduced because advanced technology and materials are invented from the development of science and technology today and rapid transformation is also made in art world by various technics for treating materials.
