조현형 성격 성향을 가진 대학생의 1인칭-3인칭 관점취하기에 관한 사건관련전위 연구

Abstract

This study investigated the abilities of perspective taking in college students with schizotypal traits using Own Body Transformation (OBT) task and event-related potentials (ERPs). Based on the scores of Schizotypal Personality Questionnaire (SPQ), participants were assigned into two groups, the control group (n=20) and the schizotypal trait group (n=20). The OBT task consisted of two conditions, i.e., back-facing (first-person perspective) and front-facing (third-person perspective) of a person wearing a glove on his/her right or left hand. Participants were required to respond to the location of the glove by pressing a response button. The behavioral results showed that the schizotypal trait group exhibited significantly longer reaction times in both the first-person and third-person perspective conditions than the control group. However, no significant difference between the two groups was observed in terms of accuracy rates. Both groups also showed significantly longer reaction times and lower accuracy rates in response to the third-person perspective condition than to the first-person perspective condition. In terms of ERPs, the schizotypal trait group and control group showed significantly larger P100 amplitudes in the third-person perspective condition than the first-person perspective condition, and both groups showed significantly larger N200 amplitudes in the third-person perspective condition than the first-person perspective condition. Both groups showed larger P300 amplitudes in the first-person perspective condition than the third-person perspective condition. In addtion, the schizotypal trait group showed significantly longer P300 latencies than control group in both conditions. Finally, a significant negative correlation between disorganization score of SPQ and P300 amplitude was observed in the schizotypal trait group, and a significant positive correlation between the positive score of SPQ and P300 latency was observed in all participants. The results of this study indicate that the schizotypal traits group may have difficulties in visuospatial and mental rotation abilities, and that P300 latency may serve as an electrophysiological index of perspective taking.|본 연구는 조현형 성격 성향을 가진 대학생의 관점취하기 특성을 Own Body Transformation(OBT) 과제와 사건관련전위를 사용하여 알아보았다. 조현형 성격 설문지(Schizotypal Personality Questionnaire: SPQ) 점수에 근거하여 정상통제군(n=20)과 조현형 성격 성향군(n=20)을 선정하였다. 오른손 혹은 왼손에 장갑을 낀 사람의 뒷모습(1인칭관점)과 앞모습(3인칭관점) 조건으로 구성된 OBT 과제는 신체 도식과 관련하여 관점취하기에 필요한 인지 과정을 알아보고자 고안된 과제로, 장갑이 왼손 혹은 오른손 중 어느 손에 끼워져 있는지를 판단하는 것이 요구된다. 행동 자료 분석 결과, 반응시간에서 두 집단 간 유의한 차이가 관찰되었는데, 즉, 조현형 성격 성향군이 정상통제군보다 1인칭관점과 3인칭관점 조건 모두에서 유의하게 긴 반응시간을 보였다. 반면, 두 집단이 반응정확률에서는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 또한, 두 집단 모두 1인칭관점 조건보다 3인칭관점 조건에서 더 긴 반응시간과 낮은 반응정확률을 보였다. 사건관련전위 요소를 분석한 결과, 두 집단 모두 1인칭관점 조건보다 3인칭관점 조건에서 유의하게 더 큰 P100 진폭과 N200 진폭을 보였고, 3인칭관점 조건보다 1인칭관점 조건에서 더 큰 P300 진폭을 보였다. 또한, 조현형 성격 성향군이 정상통제군보다 1인칭과 3인칭관점 조건에서 유의하게 더 긴 P300 잠재기를 보였다. 조현형 성격 성향군의 경우, 두정 영역에서 측정한 P300 진폭과 SPQ의 와해 점수 간에 유의한 부적 상관이 관찰된 한편, 전체 연구참여자를 대상으로 한 상관분석 결과 두정 영역에서 측정한 P300 잠재기와 SPQ의 양성 점수 사이에 유의한 정적 상관이 관찰되었다. 본 연구 결과는 조현형 성격 성향군이 관점취하기뿐만 아니라 시공간 능력의 어려움을 가지고 있을 가능성과 P300 잠재기가 관점취하기의 유용한 전기생리적 지표일 가능성을 시사한다.
