조합기법이 도입된 현대조각의 이미지 연구

Abstract

To see fine art history\ human beings have investigated the original form of nature. On the contrary, modern science which developed after Renaissance says that nature is composed of independent atom like elementary particle. But, all the forms of nature are different in accordance with the organic arrangement of elementary particles such as sun and moon, plant and animal, and rock and human beings. As distinction between coal and diamond is made according as how carbon atoms are arranged organically, nature is not the simple total of individual elements. That is, it can be said that it is the true character of nature that new order is given when mutually different individuals gather and form mixing. I have taken interest in this organic true character of nature and have observed that plastic nature may be spread with new concept infinitely in the course to form work-mixing by mixing material-individuals in accordance with the intention of artist in molding work. My works created in 2006 which are presented in this thesis were manufactured with the method to embody the plastic form of nature by making iron or stainless steel board into pieces and through the mixing or individuals to have the thin surface. That is, it can be said that it is to investigate the organic order of nature with molding, making one mixing of individuals of pieces through welding. In other words, my work may be said as what was made into molding by introducing the organic attribute of nature in molding work with the image of modern sculpture that mixing technique is introduced. Mixed organic order of nature which is not the arrangement of elementary particle varies the form in every season and shows the form to us. As for the representative thing of summer that we may contact and see the organic attribute of nature easily, fruit may be enumerated. Thus, the fruit form of this work is what materialized the organic attribute of nature through mixing which is not individual with the image of modern sculpture. Human beings have led life with nature and have materialized our noble spirit in organic relation. Therefore, it is deemed that investigating the plastic essence of art in the relation that human beings and nature co-exist may be united with the true goal of art. My work is what investigated and analyzed the repeated work, "made fruit". Then, it is composed of 3 chapters. In the introduction of chapter I, this researcher presented study goal and study method about my work. Main discourse of chapter II is composed of 3 sections. And, in the section I, describing the aesthetic concept of organic mixing to be the base of molding theory briefly tried to explain my cognitive base of mixing technique. In the formal expression of molding of section 2, this researcher explained the image of molding which is spread by mixing by classifying into introduced form and expressed form. In the work analysis of section 3, this researcher arranged my plastic work course by describing with manufacture course, material and technical part. In the conclusion of chapter III, this researcher arranged the difference between theoretical cognitive base of my work and plastic image and tried to present future my work study and progression direction.
