제7차 교육과정과 2007년 개정 교육과정에 의한 중학교 1학년 음악교과서 국악부분 비교 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 제7차 교육과정과 2007년 개정 교육과정을 비교분석하고 그에 따라 개정 전․후 천재교육 중학교 1학년 음악교과서의 국악부분을 비교 분석한 연구이다. 2007년에 개정된 교육과정에 의한 중학교 1학년 음악교과서가 2010년부터 사용됨에 따라 개정 전과 후의 교육과정의 차이와 그에 따른 교과서의 수록 내용 및 학습내용의 구성방식에 관해 신․구 교과서의 국악부분을 비교하는데 본 연구의 목적을 두었다. 분석 교과서로는 개정 전․후의 집필진이 동일한 천재교육 출판사의 교과서로 선정하였다. 연구의 방법으로 먼저 7차 교육과정과 2007년 개정 교육과정의 음악교과의 내용체계를 비교하고, 각 교육과정의 항목에 해당되는 교과서의 국악제재곡과 학습내용을 분류하여 비교하였다. 또한 음악교과서의 제재곡 중 대표적인 국악 가창곡인 ‘평시조’와 ‘민요’악곡을 학습활동 중심으로 자세히 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 7차 교과서와 비교하여 2007년 개정 교과서의 5가지의 장점과 3가지의 단점을 발견할 수 있었다. 2007년 교과서의 장점은 첫째, 비교학습이 가능하도록 악곡이 수록되었다. 둘째, 모든 주제를 하나의 단원으로 분리하여 수록하였다. 셋째, ‘단소’ 학습의 경우 단계별 학습이 가능하도록 학습활동을 구성하였다. 넷째, ‘평시조’ 학습의 경우 어려운 주제의 효과적인 학습을 위해 다양한 방법을 모색하였다. 다섯째, 민요학습의 경우 지역별 민요의 특징을 지역별 대표민요를 통해 비교하며 학습할 수 있도록 5개의 지역별 대표민요를 고르게 수록하였다. 반면 7차 교과서에 비해 2007년 개정 교과서의 단점은 첫째, 국악에 관련된 창작활동의 비중이 감소하였다. 둘째, ‘정간보의 가치와 유래’에 대한 설명이 7차 교과서에 비해 몇 문장의 단순한 정의 제시에 그쳤다. 셋째, 민요악곡의 학습활동이 각 지역 민요의 특징에 대한 학습 외에 풍부한 학습활동을 제시하지 못했다. 이처럼 개정 전의 7차 교과서에 비해 2007년 개정 교과서는 전체적으로 다양하고 풍부한 사진자료와 다양한 학습 방법 모색을 통해 학습자 중심의 적극적인 ‘음악 하기’활동을 추구함으로써 교사와 학생 모두에게 효과적인 교수-학습이 가능하도록 구성되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 7차 교과서에 비해 2007년 개정 교과서에서 다루어지지 않은 내용들에 대한 보완이 필요하며, 국악․서양음악에 공통으로 적용되는 교육과정 항목에 한해서는 교과서 내에서도 어느 한쪽에 치우침이 없이 수록되어야 할 것이다. 또한 보다 나은 음악교육의 개선을 위해 『천재교육』 이외의 교과서에 대한 신․구 교과서 분석 연구도 계속되어야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 개정 전과 후의 교육과정에 대한 비교를 바탕으로 교과서의 수록내용을 구성방식의 개선점을 중심으로 구체적으로 비교 분석하여 제시했다는 점에서 음악교육학계에 의미 있는 연구가 될 것이다.| The purpose of this dissertation is to compare and analyze Korean traditional music in music textbook for first year student of middle school made by Chun-Jae Education Company with a follow-up result of comparison analysis between the 7th National Education Curriculum and the Revised Education Curriculum of 2007. This dissertation includes the comparison of textbook contents of Korean traditional music between the old and new textbooks which has been revised in 2007 and used from 2010 for first year student of middle school. For this research, the textbook of Chun-jae Education Company revised by the same author was used. Firstly, the contents standards of music class for the 7th National Education Curriculum and the Revised Education Curriculum of 2007 was compared, and Korean musical pieces and learning contents in each textbook with relevant curriculum was analyzed. And also, Pyeongsijo and Minyo, representatives of Korean traditional music in music textbook, were analyzed in detail with focusing on the learning activities. As a result of this analysis, three weak points and five benefit points has been found in the process of revision from the 7th textbook to the revised textbook of 2007. The benefit point of revised textbook is that firstly, the musical notes have been included for easy comparison and learning. Secondly, each subject has been segregated by each chapter. Thirdly, in case of Danso, the curriculum has been structured to learn on steps. Fourthly, in case oh Pyeongsijo, various methods have been identified to provide effective learning for a difficult topic. Lastly, in case of Minyo, Minyo from five different provinces has been included to compare and learn the unique characteristic point of Minyo from each province. On the other hand, the weak point of revised textbook is that firstly, creative activities on Korean traditional music have been significantly reduced. Secondly, the details of "Value and History of Jungganbo" have been reduced to a simple definition compared to 7th textbook. Lastly, the learning activities of Minyo musical note was not provided with significance except for characteristic of Minyo in each province. With above comparison, it is found that the revised textbook of 2007 includes more pictures and various learning methods to effectively provide teachers and students with more music focused activities. However, the contents which are not considered in the revised textbook of 2007 need to be included, and the contents which are common to both Korean traditional Music and Western music need to be equally leveraged in the textbook. Furthermore, the research of revised textbook should be expanded beyond Chun-Jae Education Company's textbook for improvement on better music education This research on comparison of textbook based on different curriculums is carried on in expectation of contributing to the development of better music education environment.
