재구성된 오브제를 통한 결핍된 욕망의 환상 표현 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 본인의 작품을 분석하고 연구한 결과를 다룬다. 본인은 사회적 관계 속에서 본인의 욕망이 충족되지 않고 거부되는 경험에 주목하고, 이를 버려진 사물을 재구성하는 과정을 통해 사회에 적응하고자 하는 바람을 작품을 통해 표현한다. 인간은 사회적 존재로 타자와 관계 속에서 정체성을 형성하며 살아가지만, 이 과정은 언제나 충족되지 못하는 욕망과 결핍을 남긴다. 본인은 유년 시절 말더듬으로 인해 관계에서 소외감을 느꼈고, 이는 파손되고 버려진 사물에 연민을 느끼게 된 계기가 되었다. 본인은 파편과 버려진 사물을 본인의 결핍과 연결지으며, 이 사물들을 통해 내면의 욕망과 결핍을 표현한다. 작품 속에서 버려진 사물을 재구성하여 직립하게 하고 탈락된 사소한 것들을 결합하거나 욕망의 상상으로 은유된 반짝이거나 투명한 표면으로 표현한다. 이를 통해 본인이 사회에 가지고 있는 타인과 관계 맺음에 대한 두려움과 불안을 해소한다. 이러한 본인의 작업을 자크 라캉Jacques Lacan의 환상 개념을 참고하여 분석하고 서술한다. 라캉의 환상은 주체가 결핍을 무의식적으로 구조화하고 타자의 욕망에 반응하며 자신의 욕망을 지속하도록 만드는 방식으로 작동한다. 이에 더해 이 환상은 혼돈된 신체, 즉 파편화되고 유동적이며, 우리를 끈질기게 따라다니는 환상이다. 본 논문에서는 이 개념을 통해 본인의 작업을 해석한다. 본 논문은 본인이 2022년부터 2024년까지 작업한 작품에 대한 연구 결과 보고이다. 본 논문은 본인의 작업을 분석한 과정을 바탕으로 총 3장으로 구성된다. 제1장 서론에서는 본인의 작품 연구 방향과 목적에 대해 서술하였다. 제2장 본론에서는 첫째로, 욕망으로 인해 사회에서 겪는 경험과 본인이 관심을 갖는 파편과 버려진 사물을 자크 라캉의 환상을 토대로 분석하고 그리고 버려진 사물이 어떻게 예술적으로 전이되는지 설명하였다. 둘째, 본인 작품에서 드러나는 사물의 재구성의 방법론을 고찰하고 상상과 작품의 물성이 연결되는 지점을 살펴보며 작품 표현 방법을 나타내었다. 셋째, 개별 작품의 과정과 기법, 제작 의도를 분석하여 서술하였다. 제3장 결론에서는 본 논문의 주요 내용을 요약하고, 향후 연구의 방향성을 제시하였다.|This thesis analyzes and studies the results of the my artwork. I focus on my experience of unfulfilled and rejected desires in social relationships and express my desire to adapt to society through the process of reconfiguring discarded objects in my artworks. As social beings, human construct their identities through relationships with others, but this process inevitably leaves unfulfilled desires and lacks. I experienced alienation in relationships during childhood due to stuttering, which led to an emotional connection with broken and discarded objects. I relate fragments and discarded objects to my own sense of lack and use these objects to express my inner desires and deficiencies. In the artworks, I creates trophies, reconfigure discarded objects into upright structures, combine neglected fragments, and use shiny or transparent surfaces as metaphors for imagined desires. Through this, I address the fear and anxiety associated with relationships and interactions in society. I reference Jacques Lacan’s concept of fantasy to analyze and describe these processes in my work. Lacan's concept of fantasy operates as a framework through which the subject unconsciously structures their lack, responds to the desire of the Other, and sustains their own desire. This thesis interprets my work through this conceptual framework. In addition, this fantasy is a chaotic body, fragmented and fluid, and a fantasy that follows us persistently. This thesis reports on the research and analysis of my works produced between 2022 and 2024. Based on the above processes, this thesis is structured into three chapters. In Chapter 1, Introduction, I describes the purpose and method of research on my work. In Chapter 2, Main Text, First, I analyzed my social experiences related to desire, focusing on the fragments and abandoned objects that I explored in my work through Jacques Lacan's concept of fantasy, and explained how these objects are artistically transformed. Second, I investigated the methodology of reconstructing objects in my work, exploring the connection between imagination and materiality, and presented my approaches to artistic expression. Third, I analyzed and described the processes, techniques, and intentions behind each work. In Chapter 3, Conclusion, I summarized the discussions in this thesis and explored directions for my future work.
