작품 「호접지몽(胡蝶之夢)」에 관한 조형성 연구 : 본인의 작품을 중심으로

Abstract

오늘날 우리는 이전과는 전혀 다른 새로운 상황에 직면하게 된다. 합리적 과학정신을 통해 기술문명이 고도로 발전하면서, 컴퓨터와 인터넷 등 다양한 전자매체에 의해 이뤄진 가상공간이 등장하게 된 것이다. 가상공간은 현대인에게 제 2의 생활공간이 되었고, 점차 현실과 가상간의 경계가 불투명해지는 시뮬라시옹 시대가 도래하였다. 실제보다 더 실제 같은 가상공간의 나를 통해, 시뮬라시옹 된 가상현실은 인간의 자유의지를 실현할 수 있는 무한한 가능성을 열어 주었다. 본 논문은 이와 같이 현실을 능가하는 가상공간 속에서 자유를 실현하고픈 현대인의 욕망을 '나비'와 '인간'의 형태로 끌어내어 표현한 본인의 조형세계를 서술한 것이다. 본 논문의 구성은 3장으로 이루어진다. 제 Ⅰ장 서론에서는 제작 동기와 연구 목적, 연구 내용 및 방법을 설명하였다. 제 ?굼? 본론에서는 본인이 연구해온「호접지몽」에 접근하기 위하여 작품의 바탕이 되는 이론적, 정신적 배경을 시뮬라시옹 이론과 장자의 호접지몽을 통하여 고찰해보았다. 또한, 작품의 형태적 근거인 '인간'과 '나비' 이미지의 상징적 의미를 내포한 조형기법들에 대해 서술하였다. 이러한 이론적 배경과 형태적 근거를 바탕으로 조형화된 작품을 세부적으로 분석함으로써, 제작기법과 작품이 담고 있는 의미 등을 밝혔고, 이를 통해 본인의 작품세계를 살펴보았다. 제 Ⅲ장 결론에서는 본 논문의 내용과 작품을 개괄적으로 정리하였고, 이러한 연구를 바탕으로 이후 작업의 나아갈 방향과 새로운 가능성 등을 후속 작업의 과제로 남겼다.|We are faced in really unfamiliar social situation today. Even though development of technologic civilization through reasonable scientific spirit has been accomplished, the emergence of visual reality created by various electronic media such as computers and internet, creatures of development of technologic civilization, calls a new periodic situation. Visual reality became the 2nd life space to modern people without knowing and gradually leads to simulation era in which the border between real life and visual reality is ambiguous. Simulated visual reality opens a limitless possibility to realize free will of human beings through 'another self' in visual reality, more real than in real life. In this study, it's stated a formative world of the works by drawing desires of modern man to realize his/her freedom intoxicated by visual reality, which is beyond the real life, into forms of 'butterfly' and 'man'. The study consists of three chapters; In the first introduction chapter, motives, method and purpose of the study are explained. In the 2nd main subject chapter, theoretic and spiritual background, basis of the works, are examined through the theory of simulation and Jangja's Hojeobjimong to approach the Hojeobjimong studied. It's stated formative techniques containing images and symbolic meanings of the butterfly and the man which are the forming foundation of the works. The world of the works are examined by analyzing the works being formative forms based on this foundation in details and figuring out the meaning of techniques and of the works. In the third conclusion chapter, the study and the works are wholly reviewed and future possibilities and directions left as a subject for further study based on this study.
