자연의 색채를 통한 생명력과 공간표현 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 자연의 생명력과 자연공간을 주제로 작업한 2018년부터 2021년까지 진행된 작품들을 바탕으로 자연에 대한 이론적인 내용과 작품 속 자연이미지의 작업 과정을 시리즈별로 나누어 서술한 연구이다. 빠르게 돌아가는 도심 속에서 현대인들은 인간에 의해 정돈된 인위적인 자연의 모습에 익숙해져있다. 하지만 그 속에서도 인간의 관리에서 벗어나 무관심 속에서 길들여지지 않은 식물 군락을 마주하곤 한다. 인위적인 힘에 의해 재단되어진 자연은 본래의 모습을 회복하기 위해 끊임없이 형태를 바꿔 자라난다. 이것은 자연의 잃어버린 본성을 되찾기 위한 과정이다. 이에 연구자는 인공자연에 익숙해져 버린 현대인들에게 잃어버린 본성을 회복한 자연스러운 자연에 대한 의미를 논하고자 연구를 시작하게 되었다. 자연은 인간과 조화롭게 공존하는 존재로 늘 연구의 대상이었다. 연구자는 자연이라는 장소에 대한 안정감과 그리움을 느끼게 하는 심리적인 경험을 바탕으로 자연의 존재적 특징에 대해 논의해 보았다. 본인의 작품에서는 본연의 모습을 회복하는 자연의 모습에서 무한한 생명력을 시각적으로 인지하고 겹겹이 쌓인 식물들의 레이어를 통해 깊은 공간을 다양한 자연의 색채로 표현하였다. 본인이 경험한 자연의 이미지를 미적으로 표현하기위해 먹과 색의 중첩을 중심으로 작업하여 논의하였다. 색의 레이어를 겹치는 중첩 표현 연구를 함으로써 자연의 시간성과 공간 표현이 효과적으로 나타나는지에 대한 탐구와 색 점을 통해 중력이라는 물리적인 힘에 의해 식물이 자라나는 과정을 자연의 섭리와 연결시켜 회화 표현 기법에 대해 집중적으로 관찰하며 작품의 이미지를 완성하게 되었다. 연구자는 작업을 진행함에 따라 식물 군락이 형성되기까지의 긴 시간의 기록들에 대해 인지하게 되었고, 자연의 무한한 생명력을 조형적으로 분석하여 앞서 진행해온 작업들을 정리할 뿐만 아니라 작품의 이론적 배경을 구체적으로 연구해 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 앞으로의 작업 방향은 자연스러운 자연을 표현함에 있어서 끊임없는 내면의 성찰 과정이 진행되어야 하며, 자연이 성장하는 힘에 대한 추상적 표현들을 다양한 방식으로 풀어나가야 한다. |This paper is a study that describes the theoretical content of nature and the process of working on natural images in the work by series based on works conducted from 2018 to 2021 on the theme of nature's vitality and natural space. In the fast-moving city center, modern people are accustomed to the artificial nature organized by humans. However, they often escape from human management and face untamed plant colonies in indifference. Nature, tailored by artificial power, constantly changes its form to restore its original form. This is the process of regaining the lost nature of nature. Accordingly, the researcher began research to discuss the meaning of natural nature that restored its lost nature to modern people who have become accustomed to artificial nature. Nature has always been the subject of research as a being that coexists in harmony with humans. The researcher discussed the existential characteristics of nature based on the psychological experience of feeling a sense of stability and longing for a place called nature. In his work, he visually recognized infinite vitality from the appearance of nature that restores its original appearance and expressed deep space in various colors of nature through layers of stacked plants. In order to aesthetically express the image of nature that they experienced, they worked and discussed focusing on the overlap of ink and color. By studying overlapping expressions that overlap layers of color, I completed the image of the work by intensively observing the process of plant growth by linking the physical force of gravity to the providence of nature through exploration of nature's temporal and spatial expression effectively. As the researcher proceeded with the work, he became aware of the long records of the formation of plant colonies, and was able to organize the previous works by formatively analyzing the infinite vitality of nature, as well as study the theoretical background of the work in detail. Therefore, in the future direction of work, in expressing natural nature, a constant internal reflection process must proceed, and abstract expressions of the power in which nature grows must be solved in various ways.
