자아의 정체성 표현으로서의 붕대에 관한 연구 = 본인의 작품을 중심으로

Abstract

본 논문은 1999년부터 2000년 사이에 제작된 본인의 작품 중 석사학위 청구전에 발표했던 작품들을 중심으로 연구 서술한 것이다. 논문에서는 먼저 현대 사회속에서 한 분자로 살아가는 본인의 심리상태나 행동방식을 통해 '나' 에 대한 정체성의 문제를 알아보았다. 인간의 정체성은 결코 사회나 인간관계를 단절하거나 부정해서는 획득할 수 없는 개념이다. 정체성에 대한 문제는 개인의 자아뿐만 아니라 타자와의 관계에서 비롯된 문제로 인식되어진다. 그래서 본인은 다양한 타자의 관계 속에서 일상적으로 경험하게 되는 고립, 소외, 갈등의 심리적 문제를 생각해 보았다. 이런 불완전한 심리들이 본인의 행동에 어떤 영향을 주고, 특히 작업하는데 있어서 작품의 동기와 본인과의 개연성에 대해 설명했다. 본인의 자아정체성 문제뿐만 아니라 현대사회의 정체성 문제를 알아보기 위해 작품에 바탕이 되는 사회 심리학적 근거들을 제시하였다. 기계화, 부품화, 관료화, 조직화, 획일화로 특징 지워지는 현대 사회에서 기계 부품이나 소비 동물(homo consumens)로 전락한 인간의 정체성 상실 문제를 파악하기 위해 정체성 상실의 원인과 양상, 그 증후에 대해 구체적으로 고찰하였다. 본인은 인간의 잠재되어진 욕구와 사회적 통제 요구의 불일치로 인한 소외, 갈등, 불안 등을 정체성 상실의 원인으로 인지하고 그것으로 인한 심리적 · 생리적 · 행위적 증후를 정체성 상실의 한 현상으로 간주하였다. 그리고 이를 인간의 형상을 둘러싼 붕대라는 매체를 통하여 육체적 · 정신적 증후의 과정이나 현 상태를 간접적으로 표현했다. 또 붕대를 이중적으로 증후, 질병에 관한 치유의 의미로 상징화함으로써 정체성 회복의 가능성을 제시하려했다. 또한 이론적 근거들과 주관적 사유가 인물 형상과 색채나 구도, 시점 등의 조형적 형식들과 상호작용함으로서 시각화되는지를 구체적인 작품 설명과 도판을 제시하여 분석했다.|This thesis is what this researcher studied and described centering around the works that I announced before applying for the master's degree out of my works manufactured from 1999 to 2000. In this thesis, this researcher examined the issue of original form nature about 'me' through the psychology or behavior method of me to live as one molecule in modern society first. The original form nature of human beings is the concept which cannot be acquired by intercepting or denying society or human relation. The issue on original form nature is recognized as the issue to originate from he relation with others as well as individual self. So, I tried to consider the psychological issue such as alienation, isolation and trouble that I get to experience daily in the diverse relations with others. This researcher explained which influence this incomplete psychologies have on my action and explained the motive of work in working and the probability with me. So as to examine the issue of original form nature of modern society as well as the issue of original form nature of self of me, this researcher presented the socio-psychological bases to be the base for work. So as to grasp the issue of loss of original form nature of human beings who fell as the parts of machines or as homo-consumens in the modern society to be characterized by mechanization, making into parts, bureaucratization, systematization and standardization, this researcher studied the cause, aspect and syndrome of loss of original form nature concretely. I recognized the isolation, trouble and uneasiness etc. which are caused by the inconsistency between human latent desire and social control desire as the causes of loss of original form nature, and regarded the psychological, physiological and behavioral syndrome to be caused by it as one phenomenon of loss of original form nature. And, about this, this researcher expressed the course of bodily and mental syndrome or the present state indirectly through the medium to be bandage to surround the form of human beings. And, this researcher presented the possibility of restoration of original form nature by symbolizing the bandage in the sense of healing for syndrome and disease doubly. In addition, this researcher analyzed whether theoretical bases and subjective speculation are visualized as they interact with the plastic forms such as the human being form, the color or the composition and the point of time etc. by presenting the concrete work explanation and the plate.
