일상적 공간 속에서의 자아표현에 관한 연구 : 본인의 작품을 중심으로

Abstract

영문초록: p. 42-43|본 논문은 1999년부터 2000년 사이에 본인의 일상적 공간과 함께 표현된 자화상을 주제로 한 작품들을 대상으로 그 내용적 측면과 조형적 측면에 관해 연구한 것이다. 현대의 도시인으로서 지니고 있는 고독과 권태 등등 기타 불안의 경험들은 타인과의 단절된 마음 그리고 자기 소외로 인해 초래되는 내적 갈등들이다. 본인은 일상의 이러한 내적 갈등들을 도시적 공간 즉, 시멘트벽으로 밀폐된 방 또는 골목길, 카페 등을 배경으로 하여 상징적 이미지들을 첨가하고 왜곡된 신체?? 더불어 내적 자아를 표현하고자 하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 공간에 대한 개념과 현대인의 내적 갈등들에 대하여 살펴보는 가운데, 도시라는 공간의 주관적인 표현을 통해 현대인의 존재 방식을 보여주는 에드워드 호퍼(Edward Hopper)의 시대적 자화상을 알아본다. 또한, 본인의 자아 투영의 대상으로서의 공간 구성에 대해 논하고 변형과 왜곡, 의식적인 시선과 포즈를 통한 신체 표현에 대해 언급함으로써 자아 표현의 장(場)으로서의 공간과 신체에 대하여 연구하였다. 표현 방법에 있어서는 사진과 판화 기법을 절충적으로 이용함에 따른 제3의 효과와 왜곡된 형상 등을 설명하고, 마지막으로 본인의 작품들을 개별적으로 분석하였다. 결국 본 논문은 일상의 공간 속에 놓인 본인의 자화상이 지닌 심리적 내용과 조형적 측면에 대해 포괄적으로 돌아보는 계기로 삼는데 그 의의가 있다.|For art works whose subject is self-portrait expressed with the researcher's daily space between 1999 and 2000, this study examined their contextual and formative aspects. Various uneasy experiences such as solitude or languor suffering as a modern urbanite indicate inner conflicts caused by the mind isolated from others and self-alienation. This study attempted to add symbolic images to such inner conflicts in daily life for urban spaces - that is, a tightly-closed room by cement walls, a blind alley or cafe´ - to express inner ego as well as distorted bodies. Based on the above, this study considered the concept of space and the inner conflicts of moderns, reviewing the historical self-portraits of Edward Hopper who showed the way the moderns exist, through his subjective expressions of urban space. In addition, the researcher studied space and bodies as fields for ego expression by discussing spatial configuration as the subject of ego reflection and by mentioning bodily expression through transformation, distortion, and conscious eyes and poses. And, for the expression methods, distorted phases and the third effect were explained by partial application of photographing and printing techniques, and finally the researcher's works were individually analyzed. In conclusion, this study is meaningful in that respect giving a good opportunity to review comprehensively psychological contents and formative aspects from the researcher's self-portraits created in the daily space.
