일상의 기억과 상상을 통한 이야기그림 -본인의 작품을 중심으로-

Abstract

본 논문은 2002년부터 2005년 사이에 제작된 본인의 작품들을 대상으로 하여 작품의 전개과정에 있어 표현하고자 했던 내용과 그 방법에 대해 분석한 것이다. 본인은 작품을 자신이 반영되는 매체로 여기고 일상에서 겪는 경험과 다양한 기억들을 재구성하여 작품화 하였다. 본인의 개인적이고 고백적인 경험들은 그날의 일들을 하나하나 기록하는 형식의 그림일기에 담고 있다. 이 때, 작품에 나타나는 이미지들은 본인의 삶을 반영하여 자아의 존재를 확인하게하고, 본인의 기억 저장소에 특별하게 저장되어진 기억들 중 하나를 극화시켜 이야기의 주제로 삼았다. 본인은 작품에서 소박하고 자연스러운 이미지를 보여 주기위해 정서적인 표현과 비형식적인 이미지를 통하여 이야기그림으로 나타내었다. 일상의 기억과 경험은 본인에게 자아의 내면과 함께 작품 발상의 근거를 제시하며, 보편적인 경험을 전제로 하여 대중과의 원활한 소통을 위한 매개체로 제작되었다. 이야기 구조를 만드는 요소로서 일러스트의 표현 방식에 대해 서술하였고, 극적인 효과를 나타내는 시·공간적 배경에 대해 연구하였다. 조형적인 측면으로는 작품의 대상들을 단순한 선으로 표현된 윤곽선과 형태의 왜곡으로 극화시킨 공간 연출, 공간이 배어나는 색으로 밀도 있는 분위기를 표현하기위해 옷감에 색면을 침투시키고 중첩시키는 과정에 대해 설명하였다. 본인은 구체적인 작품설명을 위하여 도판을 제시하였고, 내용적인 측면에서 이야기그림의 소재들이 선택되어지는 동기와 이를 부각시키기 위한 조형적 측면으로 이미지화되는 과정에 대해 보다 구체적으로 서술하였다.|This study is to analyze the contents and method, which the author intended to express in development process of works, focused on the works made from 2002 to 2005. The author considered the works as a medium reflecting herself and restructured various experiences and memories in daily life leading to making works. The author expresses personal and confessional experiences in a picture diary, which is used to record what happens in your life day by day. Images in the work reflect the life of the author allowing her to confirm the existence of self. The author dramatized one of memories stored especially in memory storage and implemented events of a story. The author expressed emotional expression and informal images in a story-telling picture to show simple and natural images in works. Daily memory and experiences imply a basic concept of the work as well as the inside of self, which was expressed as a medium for smooth communication with people on the basis of universal experiences. Expression style of illustration was described as a factor of story structure and space and time backgrounds giving dramatic effects were examined. With respect to formative aspects, a process infiltrating colors into clothes and nesting was explained to produce a space dramatizing the subjects with outline and distorting shape expressed in simple lines and express a deep mood with colors related to space. The author suggested an illustration for detailed description and described a motive selecting materials of story-telling picture with respect to contents as well as making an image in terms of formative aspects in detail.
