일상과 연관된 상징 재현에 관한 연구 : 본인의 작품을 중심으로

Abstract

오늘날 현대 사회는 급변하는 고도의 물질 문명속에서 그 일면으로 개인주의가 팽배한 가운데 인간의 허무와 불안, 갈등과 불신 등으로 고립화되는 비인간화, 즉 인간의 존엄성이 붕괴되는 현상이 초래되었다. 그 속에서 예술은 그 시대의 사회적 산물일 뿐만 아니라 사회의 위기 상황을 극복하기 위한 대안의 역할을 할 수 있다. 그래서 본인은 작업을 통해 보다 더 다양하고 무한한 가능성을 추구하려고 한다. 동시에 아직 존재하지 않는 그 무엇을 창조, 고안하고 그것을 이미 존재하는 세계에 첨가하고자 열망하고, 하나하나의 현실과 감정에 생명을 담아내고자 하는 바램을 가지고 있다. 예술 작품속의 생명감을 인식하기 위해서는 그것이 이루는 경험들은 해체되고 걸러지면서 상징화 된 표현양식을 통해 하나의 의미를 가지게 된다. 이에 예술 작품은 형태와 색채, 윤곽이나 명암등의 대조등을 통해 현실의 관념들을 표현하는 상징체계를 갖는다. 이것은 일종의 언어로서 의사 소통의 면모를 보여주는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 일상 생활속에서 경험되어지고 잠재 의식속에 자리잡고 있는 감정들의 체험에 의해 상상되어진 형상들을 이용해 상징 표현의 매체로 삼고 그것이 내포하고 있는 상징적 이미지에 대해서도 논하였다. 이러한 작업의 분석을 위해서 본론에서는 내면에 새겨져 있는 상징적 표현을 기준으로 회화 작품에서 나타나는 상징의 예를 들었고 또한 일상적 체험과 유희적 감성을 통해 전개되어진 작업형성의 배경에 대하여도 논하였다. 3장에서는 작품 분석 및 표현의 실재로서 본인의 연구 범위에 속하는 작품 속 주제를 자아와 사물에 대한 관심으로 다루었다. 상징적 표현의 주제로서는 의자, 사다리, 화살표가 갖는 상징성에 대해 논하였고 또한 공간속에서의 유동적 선묘가 내포하는 바에 대하여도 서술하였다. 본 논문은 2000년과 2002년에 제작된 본인의 작품을 중심으로 연구 서술한 것으로 일상체험을 통해 느껴지는 자아와, 사물에 대한 관심-사랑은 작업을 하는데 있어서 본질적이고, 절대적인 요소가 되는 것이다. 이 요소들을 통해 의자, 사다리, 화살표등은 그 이상의 의미를 가질 수 있는 것이다.|The modern society has caused inhumanness due to human emptiness, anxiety, conflict and disbelief under an aspect of the rage of individualism in the rapidly changing material civilization - that is, it leads to destruction of the dignity of man. Under this trend, art can be an alternative to overcome a social crisis as well as is a social creature of the day. Therefore, the researcher is to pursue more diversified and infinite possibilities through works, and at the same time desires to create and devise something that is not existing and add it to the current world, and inspire life into individual facts and senses. Experiences formed to recognize the sense of being alive in art works become to have meanings through division, filtration, and symbolization of forms of expression. Thereupon, art works have a symbolic system to express concepts of the real through form, color, outline or contrast of shade. It shows an aspect of communication as a kind of language. This study set forms imagined through experiences of senses that are met in daily life and rooted in subconsciousness as media of symbolic expression and discussed symbolic images they imply. To analyze such work, in the body, the meanings of symbol shown in pictures were described on the basis of immanent symbolic expressions, and the background of formation of the work developed through daily experiences and sportive senses was discussed as well. In Chapter 3, the subjects as the substance of analysis and expression of the works - included in the range of the researcher's study - were discussed into interests in ego and objects. As the subject of symbolic expression, symbolism of chair, ladder, and arrow was discussed, and involvement of fluid drawing in space was described. In this study, focusing on the researcher's works made from 2000 to 2002 was described. The ego identified through daily experiences and the interest - that is, love - in an object are essential factors in work. They give chair, ladder and arrow each meaning beyond themselves.
