음악 관련 계발활동 실태 분석연구

Abstract

본 논문에서는 교과 중심 교육이 간과하고 있는 신체ㆍ정서적 기능을 연마할 수 있는 대안으로서 계발활동의 활성화를 제안하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 서울시 소재 중학교에서 시행중인 음악 관련 계발활동의 운영 실태를 조사ㆍ분석하여 실제 운영상의 문제점을 짚어보고, 이를 활성화 할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 연구는 음악 관련 계발활동의 운영 실태와 지도 교사의 전문성, 실제 지도상의 중점사항, 음악 관련 계발활동에 대한 교사들의 인식정도에 관한 네 가지 연구 문제를 중심으로 설문을 작성하여, 서울지역 음악전공교사 중 음악 관련 계발활동을 지도하고 있는 교사 73명의 설문 응답을 기초로 하여 진행되었다. 연구 결과, 음악 관련 계발활동 지도 교사 대부분이 계발활동의 의의와 목표를 정확하게 인지하고 있으며, 담당하고 있는 계발활동 분야에 대하여 자신감을 가지고 적극적으로 임하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 시간, 시설 및 교구와 같은 환경요건, 교사의 업무 부담, 학생들의 낮은 참여도 등으로 계발활동이 본래 취지대로 행해지는데 어려움이 있다는 의견이 제시되었다. 이를 개선하여 더욱 효과적인 계발활동을 구성하기 위한 대안으로 연구자는 지역 내 학교 간 연계 운영, 전문 강사 제도 도입, 방과 후 학교를 통한 자율적 운영, 지역 시설 활용 등을 제안하였다. 그러나 계발활동이 교과교육과 더불어 학생들의 신체ㆍ정서적 기능을 책임지고, 음악 관련 계발활동 참여를 통한 음악적 생활화의 목표를 실현시키기 위해 더욱 시급한 문제는 무엇보다 의식 개선 문제이다. 현재 학교 현장이 입시 위주 교육에 치우친 나머지 계발활동을 형식적 활동으로만 여기는 학교 풍토의 문제는 무엇보다 개선되어야 할 점이다. 계발활동이 교과학습과 더불어 비중 있는 학교 활동으로 자리 잡기 위해서는 음악분야를 비롯한 여러 교과에서 계발활동이 효과적으로 운영될 수 있도록 다양한 연구가 많이 행해져, 계발활동의 본래 취지인 학생들의 신체ㆍ정서적 기능을 효과적으로 담당할 수 있어야 할 것이다. 본 논문을 토대로 관련 연구가 더욱 활발히 진행되고, 무엇보다 실제 학교 현장에서 적용할 수 있는 활성화 방안이 더욱 많이 마련되기를 기대해 본다. 더불어 이러한 연구가 실현되기 위해서는 실제 현장 교사와 교육 행정 담당자들의 노력이 선행되어야 함을 다시 한 번 주지하는 바이다. |This thesis suggests a revitalization of club activities as an alternative means to improve students' physical and mental ability, which is often neglected by the textbook-based education. Prior to the suggestion of a scheme to revitalize club activities, the conditions of the musical club activities enforced in the middle schools located in Seoul will be researched and analyzed, and the problems of the actual operation will be pointed out. A questionnaire has been made based on four issues: the actual condition of musical club activities, the expertise of teachers, the central matters considered in the actual education, and the teachers' understanding about the musical club activities. The respondents were 73 teachers of Seoul who majored in music and are actually participating in musical club activities. The result shows that most of the teachers precisely understand the meaning and the goal of club activities, and have confidence and positiveness about the club activities they undertake. The teachers' expressed the opinion that it is difficult to operate the club activities according to the original purpose due to the lack of time, environment such as equipment and teaching aids, the allotment of teacher's duty, and low participation of the students. In order to better the situation and organize more effective club activities, I suggested the cooperation of neighboring schools, organizing a system of hiring professional instructors, autonomous operation through after-school programs, and making use of local facilities. However, most urgent problem is raising the consciousness about this issue. Because current school education is placing too much importance on college entrance examination, club activities are operated only formally, and this situation is the foremost problem to be improved. For club activities to settle as a school activity important as textbook learning, it is necessary that various studies seeking effective operation of club activities in music and other subjects are made, and as a result, club activities follow the original purpose of serving to improve physical and mental ability of students. Through this thesis, I expect that more studies on related subjects will increase, and above all, the scheme of revitalization applicable to actual school education will be provided. In addition, for the studies of this sort to actually happen, it is effort of active teachers and educational administrators are given to the researchers.
