윤리적 사회를 위한 생명윤리박물관의 전시공간 계획에 관한 연구

Abstract

영문초록: p. 102-103|오늘날 산업화로 인한 자연 생태계의 파괴와 과학 기술의 발달, 생명 공학의 눈부신 발전 속에서 인류는 심각한 생명의 위기의식을 느끼고 있다. 더욱이, 최근 생명 공학의 진보는 윤리적·사회적·법적으로 많은 혼란과 문제점을 드러내고 있으며, 사회 곳곳에 난무하는 폭력과 각종 범죄, 사회적 불안, 테러와 전쟁의 위험 등은 그 어느 때보다도 생명을 위협하고 있다. 따라서 생명의 위기를 극복할 수 있는 방안을 마련하는 것이 무엇보다 시급한 일이라 생각된다. 특히, 생명 존중에 대한 교육, 즉 생명 윤리 교육을 통해서 생명에 대한 존엄성을 회복하는 일이 필수적인 과제라 하겠다. 그러나 학교 교육만으로는 다소 미흡한 점이 있다고 생각된다. 현대 박물관은 학교 교육에 대한 대안적 또는 상보적 교육기관으로서, 그리고 21세기 평생 학습시대에 부응하는 교육전략으로서 그 역할이 강조되고 있다. 박물관은 교육 개혁의 흐름의 중심에 서서 교육적 기능을 확장해가고 있으며, 각종 사회 문제에 대한 해결책을 적극적으로 강구하는 참여자로서 중요성을 더해가고 있는 것이다. 이에 생명 윤리 박물관이 상실되고 있는 생명의 존엄성과 자연 생태계의 보전을 위한 극복 방안의 하나로서 부각될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 생명 위기 현상의 심각성과 생명 윤리 교육의 중요성을 제고시키며, 현대 박물관의 교육 기능의 확대에 따른 전시 공간 계획의 요건을 고찰하고, 이것을 토대로 생명 윤리 박물관의 전시 공간을 디자인함으로써 좀 더 생명이 충만한 사회를 이루고자 한다.|Modern industrialization and its resulting destruction of natural ecosystems have brought the consciousness of life crisis to humans along with the side effects of the advancements in science and technology and the amazing growth of biotechnology. The recent accomplishments in biotechnology have unveiled the lurking confusions and issues in the ethical, social and legal dimensions. Moreover, today's human life is being threatened more than ever by the ubiquitous acts of violence, crimes, social unrest, and risk of terror attacks and war. All these point to the necessity for countermeasures with which to overcome the impending crisis for life on earth. In particular, it's essential to recover the respect for life through the life respect education, that is, bioethics education. The education provided in schools is not enough. Today's museum is regarded as an alternative or supplementary educational agency to school education, and thus its role as the provider of the educational strategies for the life education age in the 21st century is emphasized more than ever. A museum has increasingly expanded its educational functions in the middle of the education reform and served as a participant in the active searching for solutions to various social issues. Thus a bioethics museum can be an idea to restore the gradually lost respect for lie and protect the natural ecosystem. This study set out to state about the seriousness of life in danger and importance of bioethics education, consider the conditions of exhibition space planning according to the broadened educational scope of a modern museum, and design an actual exhibition space of a bioethics museum based on the results so far, thus making a contribution to the society that is full of more life.
