웹 기반 보완대체의사소통 활동교육 보드 제작 및 활용 시스템

Abstract

보완대체의사소통(Augmentative and Alternative Communication)은 구어를 이용한 의사소통을 보완하거나 대신하기 위하여 사용되는 여러 가지 형태의 비구어적 의사소통 방법이다. 보완대체의사소통의 잠재 수요가 증가하고 있으나 교육현장에서의 보완대체의사소통의 활용은 미흡하다. 본 논문에서는 교육현장에서 보완대체의사소통의 손쉬운 적용을 위해 한국형 웹 기반 보완대체의사소통 활동교육 보드 제작 및 활용 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 특수교육 전문가와의 인터뷰를 통해 교육 현장에서 활용도가 높을 것으로 사료되는 보완대체의사소통 활동교육 보드 유형을 1)달력, 2)시간표, 3)어휘 공부, 4)시퀀스로 선정한 뒤, PC, 모바일 등 기기와 상관없이 보완대체의사소통 활동교육 보드를 제작하고 활용할 수 있는 한국형 웹 기반 보완대체의사소통 활동교육 보드 제작 및 공유 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 본 시스템을 통하여 특수교사, 언어치료사, 의사소통 장애인의 부모 등은 시간과 장소의 구분 없이 보완대체의사소통 활동교육 보드를 제작할 수 있으며 의사소통 장애아동 또한 언제 어디서나 보완대체의사소통 활동교육 보드를 활용 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 구현한 시스템을 통하여 국내 의사소통 장애 아동의 다양한 활동을 위한 학습을 보다 편리하게 지원하여 의사소통 장애 아동의 학습 기회 보장과 함께 보완대체의사소통에 대한 인식 개선에 기여하고자 한다.| Augmentative and Alternative Communication(AAC) includes various types of communication ways other than oral speech for the people with severe speech or language disabilities. Potential Korean AAC users are increasing and the needs of AAC training for the school-age children with speech disorder are increasing. In spite of increasing demands and importance, AAC has not been adopted in Korean AAC users, because most of the previous AAC devices are required special hardware, expensive and developed in English. In this paper, we designed and implemented a web-based AAC activity board making and sharing system for Korean AAC users. The system does not require any special hardware since it supports Crome and Safari browsers running on PC and smart mobile devices. The system also provides the symbols that are unique in Korean culture. From an in-depth interview with an expert on special education, we selected 4 types of activities-calendar, timetable, word study and sequence, and implemented them as AAC boards.
