운율적(韻律的) 풍경 표현 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 대학원 석사학위 청구 논문으로서 2002년부터 2004년 사이에 제작된 본인의 작품들 중 석사학위 청구전＜The illusion>에 발표한 작품에 대해 설명하고 내용적(內容的), 조형적(造形的) 측면을 분석하기 위한 것이다. 예술작품의 창작은 작가가 한때 경험했던 기억과 인상을 다시금 불러 일으켜 선이나 형태, 색채라는 조형언어를 통해 관람자로 하여 동일한 감정을 체험 할 수 있도록 표현하는 것이다. 그러므로 작가의 의식 속에 내재되어 있는 모든 경험과 기억들은 예술로 승화 시킬 수 있는 가장 적절하며 핵심적인 모티프(motif)가 된다. 본인이 태어나 처음으로 맞딱뜨린 세계인 ‘숲’은 친숙하고 그리운 장소이며, 어머니의 자궁 안과도 같이 끊임없이 되돌아가고 싶은 향수를 불러일으키는 곳이다. 또한 숲은 본인의 과거를 형성하고 있기에 나의 출발이요 뿌리이며, ‘나’라는 존재의 실존(實存)에 근원을 확인시켜 주는 곳이다. 본인은 숲이라는 자연 속에서 체험된 잠재의식 속에 자리 잡고 있는 기억들을 모티프로 삼아 숲에서 느껴지는 비가시적(非可視的) 느낌의 생명감을 표현하였다. 본인에게 숲의 이미지는 기억의 회상으로 나타나는 것이고 중첩되어 나타나는 형은 생명감의 표현이다. 숲은 내적 고요를 경험하는 곳으로 그 속에서 우리는 휴식의 공간으로 생기있는 기운을 받고 사색을 통한 마음의 안정을 찾는다. 대기의 흐름 속에 생명감은 무수히 많은 떨림, 움직임, 파동으로 다가오며 감성적 운율로써 느껴진다. 생명성은 비가시적인 성격을 갖고 있으며 숲과 자신의 내면세계의 소통, 즉 감각적(感覺的) 감성의 조화로운 결합으로 느낄 수 있다. 본인은 본 논문을 통해 숲의 이미지가 바쁜 일상으로 지친 현대인들에게 삶의 회복을 위한 생명감을 느끼게 하고 사색을 통한 인간 본연의 감성을 되찾기를 바라며 본인의 작품세계를 돌아보는 계기로 삼고 앞으로의 작업 전개에 도움을 갖고자 한다.|This thesis is for explaining the work announced in the exhibition to apply for master's degree<The Illusion> out of my works manufactured from 2002 to 2004 and analyzing contents side and plastic side as master's thesis. Creation of art work is to express, so that spectators may experience same feeling through plastic languages such as line or form and color by arousing memory and looks that artist experienced at one time again. So, all the experiences and looks to be immanent in the consciousness of artist become most suitable and corelike motif to be able to sublimate as art. 'Forest' which is the world that I faced for the first time after I was born is intimate and beloved place, and it is the place to arouse nostalgia to want to return endlessly like the womb inside of mother. In addition, as forest is forming my past, it is my start and root, and it is the place confirm the origin of existence of being 'I'. I expressed the life sense of invisible feeling which is felt in forest by making memories which are settling in subconsciousness by being experienced in nature to be forest as motif. Image of forest is what appears as the reflection of memory, and form to appear by overlapping is the expression of life sense. Forest is the place to practise inner silence. Then, from the inside, we obtain lively strength and find the stability of mind through speculation as the place of rest. In the flow of atmosphere, life sense draws near as innumerably many tremblings, movements, and wave motion, and it is felt with sensible rhythm. Life nature has invisible character, and it may be felt with the understanding of forest and own inside world, that is, harmonious combination of sensible sensitivity. I hope that the image of forest enables moderns to be exhausted by busy daily life to feel life sense for the restoration of life and to regain human innate sensitivity through this thesis, and make this thesis the momentum to look back at my work world, and try to help for future work unfolding.
