'욕망과 타자와의 관계'에 대한 표현연구

Abstract

본 논문은 2007년 본인의 개인전 작품들을 바탕으로 인간의 욕망과 타자와의 관계를 주제로한 작품들의 이론적 내용 및 표현을 분석하여 서술하였다. 본인에게 있어서 작업은 인간의 문제, 욕망에 대한 갈등과 타자와의 관계속에서 생겨나는 상황이나 그 안의 의식들에 대해 사유함에 따라 나와 주변들, 나아가는 인간의 삶 가운데 벌어지는 심리적 상황을 조형적으로 전개시키는 것이다. 인간을 이해하기 위해 우선 기본적인 몸에 대한 의미와 이해가 필요하여 이를 논의하였다. 몸의 형태들을 둘러싸고 있는 피부 및 몸의 전체는 외부세계를 받아들이는데 이 흐름은 온전히 몸을 통해서 이루어진다. 세계와 삶의 본질을 구성하는 중심으로 자리를 차지하는 것이다. 몸은 외부세계를 받아들여 인식하고 반응하는 역할과 의미를 갖는다. 본문에서는 정신과 점착되는 몸으로 개념을 확장시켜 정리하고 사회나 문화의 흐름에 따라 미술 속에서 변화 되어지는 몸에 대해 알아보았다. 살아있는 주체로서의 몸은 다른 몸, 즉 타자와의 관계를 기본으로 사회성을 가진다. 인간은 기본적인 몸과 더불어 생각하는 관계중심의 사회적 동물이기 때문에 상호교호(相互交互)적으로 살아간다. 그 가운데 시선과 타자, 관계와 사회 안에서 생겨나는 욕망들이 있다. 이 때 우리가 가지는 수많은 욕망들은 주체로서의 나로부터 혹은 타자의 시선이나 기대, 사회의 질서를 통해 형성된다. 이러한 관계 안에서 주체의 혼돈과 사회적 지위나 권위에의 욕망에 흔들리는 인간의 모습들에 주목하여 작업을 진행 하였다. 본 논고는 몸을 기초한 인간의 욕망과 타자와에 관계에 대해 표현되어진 본인의 작업을 중심으로 정리 하였다. 작품 과정 속에서의 인물들은 본인의 내면의 모습을 드러내기도 하고 타자에 대한 비판인 동시에 이를 웃음으로 수용하려는 현실적인 태도로 표현되었는데 본인에게 해석되어지는 인간들이 감은 눈 또는 공격, 방어적 태도로서 나타남을 설명하였다. 또 인간 사회와 대비되어지는 자연의 순수한 공간을 의미하는 푸른 하늘인 배경의 반복과 물의 상징성에 대해 서술하였다. 이와 같이 본 논문은 인간사회에 대한 본인의 생각들이 회화적 접근으로 표현되어지는 근거나 요소들에 대해 분석하며 인간의 주체성과 존엄성이 상실되고 타자화 되어지는 인간, 스스로가 아니라 사회가 만들어주는 허무한 욕망에 사로잡혀 살아가는 인간에 대한 본인의 견해를 정리하였다. 이는 외부로 향한 우리의 시선을 본인 내부로 돌아보게 하는 회유의 모색이다.|This study was written by analyzing the theoretical content and expression of works that use human desires and relationships with others based on my personal exhibition pieces. For me, a piece of art work is formatively unfolding situations that unfold in human problems, dilemmas for desires, and those that occur within relationships with others or psychological circumstances that take place between self and surroundings based on personal awareness or simply in the ongoing human life. In order to understand human, first there is a need for significance and understanding of the basic body, and thus, they were discussed. The skin that surrounds the shapes of the body and the entire body absorbs the body’s external world, and this flow takes place through the body. It takes its place as the center of the makeup of the world and the essence of life. The body has its role and significance in absorbing its external world, recognizing it, and reacting to it. In this study, the concept of the body that joins the body was expanded and organized, and the body that changes in art form based on the flow of society and culture was examined. The body as a living system has sociality based on other bodies, in other words, with relationship with Other. Because humans are relationship centered social animals in addition to having a basic body, they live through mutual interactions. Among these, there are desires that stem from views, Other, and relationship with others as well as from within society. At this time, the many desires that we have are formed through from “I” as an individual, or views or expectations of others, or through social order. My works were done by focusing on the human image being shaken by confusion among such relationships or desires for social status and prestige. This study was organized focusing my works that were expressed towards human desires and relationships with others. The people in the process of my work reveal my own internal self, and are at the sametime criticisms of Other, and they were expressed through realistic attitude of accepting them with a smile but also expressed my own image and people who are interpreted with closed eyes and even offensive as well as defensive attitudes. Also the symbolism of the repetition of the background, the sky that signifies pure natural space that contrasts human society and the symbolism of water were described. In this way, this study analyzes the evidence and elements of my personal thoughts towards human society that are expressed through verbal approaches and organizes my personal opinions on the humans who becomes a third party by losing human identity and dignity, and empty desires that is created not by individuals but by the society . Also, it is a search of excursion that makes us shift the focus of our perception to our inner selves.
