오브제의 결합에 따른 조형성 연구

Abstract

20세기 이후 산업 발달에 따른 새로운 매체의 개발과 그 다양화로 인해 현대미술의 표현 범위가 확대되었고, 이러한 표현의 확장성으로 인하여 과거의 미술과 비교해 다양한 개념과 아이디어를 담은 결과물이 나타나기 시작하였다. 포스트모더니즘의 영향으로 개성 ·자율성 ·다양성 ·대중성을 표방한 작품들의 출현은 결국 미술에 있어서 대의명분을 탈피하고 지극히 개인적인 의미를 담은 작품들을 대거 등장시켰고 이는 일반 대중들의 큰 호응을 얻었다. 본 논문은 현대미술에서 매체의 다양성에 따라 일상의 오브제가 작품으로서 어떻게 변모하게 되는가를 본인의 작품을 중심으로 살펴보고자 한다. 본인의 작품은 형식적인 면에서는 초현실주의 데페이즈망 작가인 르네 마그리트의 작품에서 많은 영향을 받았다. 특히 그의 개인적 환상 탐구를 중시하여 사실적 오브제와 이미지들의 절연과 접합을 통한 초현실적 표현 방식을 따르고자 하였다. 또한 작품의 내용 면에서는 일상 오브제의 기능을 무시한 결합 방식을 통해 오브제 자체의 용도나 기능, 의미와 단절하면서 보는 이로 하여금 미처 체험하지 못한 어떤 연상 작용이나 기묘한 효과를 유발하는 스토리텔링에 주목하고자 하였다. 작품과 관련한 오브제와 데페이즈망, 오브제와 스토리텔링과의 관계를 짚어보고 이러한 내용을 토대로 여기에 따른 이론적 배경을 설명함으로써 본인 작품의 당위성과 앞으로 전개될 작품의 개념을 확립하고자 한다. 본 논문은 총 3장으로 구성하여 서술하고자 한다. 제1장 서론에서는 본인 작품의 연구 목적 및 연구의 방법을 서술하였다. 제2장 본론에서는 작품 형성의 이론적 배경인 데페이즈망과 스토리텔링에 관해 서술하였고, 오브제를 통해서 본인의 작품에 어떻게 적용 되었는지 연구하였고, 본인의 작품 8점을 개별적으로 살펴보았다. 제3장 결론에서는 본 논문의 연구 결과를 정리하였다|After the 20th century, with the development of modern industry, the scope of expression in contemporary art has been expanded. As a result of the expansion of expression, there have been created many works conveying more diversified concepts and ideas compare to the artworks in the past. The advent of artworks advocating individuality, autonomy, diversity and popularity under the influence of postmodernism, as a result, has lead to many artworks conveying purely personal meanings without justification of meaning, and this has became very popular in the masses. This study looks into how an objet in daily life, in accordance with the diversity of mediums in contemporary art, changes its form as an artwork focusing on the artwork of the author. The author’s work, in its form, was greatly influenced by the works of Rene Magritte who was depaysement artist of surrealism. In particular, the author laid stress on Magritte’s exploration on personal fantasy and tried to follow his surrealistic method of expression through junctions and insulations of realistic objets and images. At the same time, as for the contents of the work, the author tried to pay attention to the storytelling which breaks off the purposes, functions and meanings of the objet itself through the combination method ignoring the functions of an objet in daily life and thus reminds of some images that one has not experienced ever. The study inquires into the relationship between the objet and depaysement and the relationship between the objet and storytelling, and based on the findings, the study tries to define the validity of the author’s work and the concept of the works that will be unfolded in the future by explaining the theoretical background. This paper consists of 3 chapters in total and describes the study. In chapter 1, introduction, the study object and method on the author’s work is discussed. In chapter 2, body paragraphs, the paper explains depaysement and storytelling that are the theoretical background of the work, and studies how they are applied to the author’s work through an objet, and finally looks into 8 pieces of works of the author individually. In chapter 3, conclusions, the results from the study are demonstrated.
