仰視적 시각의 풍경과 力動적 空間 구성 = 본인의 작품을 중심으로

Abstract

본 논문은 대학원 과정 동안 제작된 본인의 작업 중 석사 학위 청구전에 출품되었던 작품들을 중심으로 해서 내용적 측면과 조형적 측면으로 나누어 연구 분석한 것이다. 본인은 일상생활 속에서 자연스럽게 보게 되는 도시 풍경 속에서 조형미를 발견하고 이를 시각화하여 표현하고자 하였다. 앙시적 시각으로 위치를 옮겨가며 도시의 모습을 살펴보면 그 자체가 하나의 시각적 구조물을 형성하는데, 하늘과 건물의 시각적 대조, 면과 선의 구성과 상호작용 등을 찾아볼 수 있다. 본인은 그 속에서 미적 구조와 역동적 힘을 발견했으며 그것들을 포착하기 위해 건물과 하늘을 결합하여 사진을 찍어 하나의 이미지에 담고, 이들 사진들을 재조합을 통해 복수 프레임화하여 다양한 공간 형식 실험을 통해 공간을 재구성하였다. 그 공간 실험의 형식은 크게 세 가지 방법에 의해 산출되었는데, 수평적 수직적 원형적 공간 배치에 의해 프레임들을 재조합하였다. 결과적으로 구축되어 나온 공간은 형상이 부유하는 움직임을 내포하는 공간, 확장된 진행채로서의 공간, 그리고 시각적 공간 이동이 가능한 공간이었다. 이로써 역동성을 지닌 공간을 창출할 수 있었다. 작품에서 이미지를 평면화시키고 단순화하여 표현하였는데, 이 또한 하나의 공간성을 획득하기 위한 ?痼甄?. 이렇듯 도시 풍경 속 공간을 앙시적 시각을 이용해 다각적인 공간 구성 방법과 실험을 통해 본인이 추구하고자 하는 보다 활력 있는 이상적인 새로운 공간으로 재탄생시키고자 하였다.|This thesis is a research and analyses based on the works produced for the solo exhibition. These works were part of the works I made during my graduate course from 2001 till 2003. I found a formative beauty in the cityscape which I encountered in the daily life and tried to express it by visualization. When we observe the city with the worm's view while moving, the city forms itself a certain visual structure. The sky and the building interacts while the buildings with the sky at the background forms varied geometric shapes, building a contrast with the organic forms of the sky which is a part of the nature. In the interactions, I discovered a beautiful structure and a dynamic force. In order to catch these things, I took photos combining parts of the sky and the building and put them into one image. Then I multi-framed the photos by recomposing and constructed the space through various experiments of space forming. The forms of space experiments resulted in three ways, which are horizontal, vertical and circular space disposition. Through recomposing the frames in those three ways, I could produce a space which contains movements where objects float, and an extended space still in progress of creation, and a space which involves visual shift of the space. As a result, a dynamic space was build. In the work, I expressed the images by flattening and simplifying. It was also to obtain the idea of the space. By these variuos ways of space composition and experiments, I tried ro mak the cityscaoe a reborn into a more vital and ideal space.
