심인(心因)적 변화를 응용한 병(甁)의 조형연구

Abstract

사람들의 감정은 살아온 시간 동안 내적으로 정체(停滯)되어있는 감정과 외면으로 표출되는 유동(流動)적인 감정으로 이루어져 있다고 볼 수 있다. 이러한 감정에 주목하여 실제로 보이지 않는 감정의 모습을 흔히 볼 수 있는 꽃, 돌과 같은 자연물에서 영감을 얻어 주관적 해석을 더하여 ‘병(甁)’의 모습으로 재해석하고자 하였다. ‘병(甁)’은 오랜 기간 여러 문명을 통해 제작되어진 만큼 다양한 형태와 의미를 담고 있다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 연구자 또는 사람의 감정을 표현 대상으로 여김으로써 ‘병(甁)’을 실용적 기능이 있는 사물로 형상화 하기 보다는 하나의 ‘오브제(object)’로 시각화하는 것을 시도하였다. 특히 연구자가 느끼는 순간의 감정을 시각화는 것에 중점을 두었으며 이에 필요한 표현 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 감정의 시각적 표현방법으로는 선행 작품의 고찰과 연구자가 느끼는 감정을 이론적으로 정리하고 실체화 할 수 있게 주요요점(point)을 선정하는 과정이 있었다. 특히 조각, 연마 등의 행위 및 꽃잎의 ‘겹(layer)’, 돌의 형태와 같은 표현수단을 도출하였으며 이를 활용하여 개성있는 조형표현을 시도하였다. 이를 통해 ‘병(甁)’이 가지고 있는 실용성보다는 연구자의 주관적 감정을 이입한 오브제(object)작업을 통하여 현대인들의 감성과 공유할 수 있으며 소통할 수 있는 순수한 조형적 표현방법을 시도하고자 하였다. 최종적으로는 연구자의 시점을 통해 형상화 된 작품을 보았을 때, 타인이 느끼는 감정은 어떠할지 상상하며 현대인들과 다양한 감정의 교감을 통해 대중의 감성과 감정에 호응할 수 있는 조형성을 제시하고자 하였다.|People's sentiments are made up of emotions that are internally stagnant throughout their lives and fluid emotions that are expressed to the outside. The researcher has focused on these emotions and has tried to reinterpret it as a 'bottle' through subjective interpretation, inspired by natural objects such as flowers and stones. "Bottles" have been created through various civilizations for a long time, and contain numerous forms and meanings. In this study, attempting to express the emotions of researcher and people as objects of expression, the researcher has attempted to visualize 'bottle' as an ‘object’ rather than as a thing with a practical function. In particular, the focus was on visualizing the momentary emotions of researcher, and the methods of expression needed to do this were studied. The visual presentation method of emotion was the process of examining the preceding work and organizing the main points that could theoretically embody the feelings felt by the researcher. Especially, the act of carving, polishing, and the expression means such as 'layers' of petals and forms of stone was derived, and individual shapes were tried to be expressed using them. Through this, the researcher has attempted to express pure formative expression that could communicate with the emotions of the modern people through the ‘object work’ involving the subject 's feelings rather than the practicality of the ‘bottle’. Finally, the researcher has imagined what the feelings of others would be when they saw the work that was shaped through the viewpoint of the researcher. The researcher has also tried to suggest the formality that can respond to the emotions of the public through the sympathy of the modern people and various emotions.
