식물문양의 양각장식을 이용한 테이블웨어 연구

Abstract

예로부터 사람들은 자연을 모티브로 풍부한 상상력과 재능을 발휘하여 아름다운 문양들을 창조해왔다. 조선시대의 규방공예품에서도 이러한 다채로운 문양 장식들이 보여지며 그 내면에는 여성들의 삶의 애환과 사회상을 조금이나마 엿볼 수 있다. 이러한 삶의 표현은 해학성이라는 조형적 특질로 전환되어 나타난다. 이외에도 자수에서 보여지는 바느질과 그 흔적으로 남은 땀의 형태는 문양의 영역을 구분하는 실질적 역할 외에도 조용히 도드라진 작은 볼륨감에서 소박한 조형적 미감을 느낄 수 있으며 조형 표현 요소로서의 가능성도 충분하다고 생각된다. 본 연구에서는 조선 자수의 문양에서 보여지는 조형적 미감과 특성에 주목하였고 이를 도자장식기법으로 활용하여 테이블웨어를 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 자수의 문양장식에 나타나는 문양의 특성과 의미를 문헌을 통해 알아보았으며 이를 토대로 도자테이블웨어에 적용할 수 있는 ‘문양화 과정’을 제시하였다. 조선 자수의 문양화를 통한 효과적인 장식표현기법을 도출하기 위하여 조각기법에 의한 양각 장식을 선택하였으며 보다 더 구체적인 표현을 위하여 석고기법에 의한 기형(器形)제작과 유약에 의한 드로잉 방법을 제안하였다. 특히 유약에 의한 드로잉에 있어 색유의 조합 실험과 착색을 위한 방법을 고안하였으며 이에 적합한 도구 및 기법을 제시하였다. 이와같은 일련의 문양화 과정과 양각장식 및 유약드로잉이라는 장식표현방법을 통하여 개성있는 도자테이블웨어를 제안하였다. |Since ancient times, people have created beautiful patterns with abundant imagination and talent based on nature. These colorful patterns are also shown in Kyubang crafts of the Joseon Dynasty, and inside them, you can get a glimpse of the joys and sorrows of women's lives and society. This expression of life appears by converting to the formative characteristic of humor. In addition, the sewing shown in the embroidery and the remaining sweat form are not only practical to distinguish the area of the pattern, but also simple formative aesthetics can be felt in the small volume that quietly stands out, and it is thought that it has a good possibility as a formative expression element. In this study, we paid attention to the aesthetic and characteristics of the formations shown in the patterns of Joseon embroidery, and tried to propose tableware by using it as a ceramic decoration technique. To this end, the characteristics and meaning of patterns appearing in embroidery pattern decoration were investigated through the literature, and based on this, a 'patternization process' that can be applied to ceramic tableware was presented. In order to present an effective decorative expression technique through the pattern of Joseon embroidery, embossed decoration by carving technique was selected, and for more specific expression, a method of producing deformities by plaster method and drawing by glaze was proposed. In particular, in drawing by glaze, a method for combining and coloring colored oils was devised, and appropriate tools and techniques were presented. A unique ceramic tableware was proposed by presenting a series of patterns and a decorative expression method called embossed decoration and glazed drawing.
