성인 전통음악교육에 대한 방안 연구

Abstract

전통음악교육은 민족에 대한 인식과 민족성 고취를 위한 교육이며 동시에 나라와 나라간의 벽을 허물어 국제교류와 세계평화에 이바지하는 교육이다. 헝가리의 음악교육 학자인 코다이는 "민족음악을 애호할 줄 아는 사람은 민중을 사랑할 줄 알고, 민중을 사랑할 줄 아는 사람은 민중의 향상과 번영을 원하게 된다." 라고 하였다. 이렇듯 전통음악교육은 나라 구성원의 민족성을 더욱더 고취시켜 민족의 존재와 역사에 애착을 갖게 하고, 나아가 그 민족의 문화를 이해하도록 만드는데 큰 역할을 한다. 그러나 대부분의 사람들은 전통음악이란 지루하고 어려우며 고리타분한 음악이라는 인식을 갖고 있다. 이러한 현상이 나타나게 된 원인은 자아와 가치관이 성립 될 시기인 아동?藪? 청소년기 때 정규 교육 기관인 학교에서 전통음악의 소중함을 일깨워 주지 못했기 때문이다. 특히 과거의 음악교육은 서양음악 중심의 교육이었기에 지금의 성인들은 체계적이고 바람직한 전통음악교육을 받지 못했다고 말할 수 있다. 이렇게 성장한 성인에게 전통음악의 중요성과 필요성을 이제 와서 설명한다는 것은 너무 늦은 일이 될 수도 있으나 음악 교육자와 교육 정책가들은 성인에 대한 전통음악교육을 소홀히 해서는 안 될 것이다. 만약 전통음악교육이 여기서 물러나게 된다면, 우리의 음악은 점점 더 설자리를 잃게 될 것이다. 이렇게 질적, 양적으로 낙후되어 있는 성인 전통음악교육에 관한 연구를 이론적 배경에 의한 문헌 정리와 설문지 1, 2를 통해 연구하고자 한다. 설문지 1의 내용은 전통음악에 관한 기초 지식을 묻는 문항으로, 설문지 2는 성인들이 인식하고 있는 전통음악에 관한 현재의 생각을 묻는 문항으로 구성되었다. 본 논문은 위에 제시한 설문지 결과를 분석하여 성인 전통음악교육의 현주소를 파악하고, 이것을 토대로 앞으로 성인들이 전통음악을 쉽고 친숙하게 접할 수 있게 하는 방안을 찾아보고자 한다.|Traditional music education is for understanding to a nation and stirring up national consciousness as well as for contributing to international interchange and world peace with breaking down a wall among the countries. Zolta'n Koda'ly who was Hungarian music educational scholar said " a person who can understand national music, can love the people and a person who can love the people, wants elevation and prosperity of the people." As traditional music education stirs up national consciousness more, it makes us to have a strong love to existence and history of the nation. Furthermore It plays a important role to understand the national culture. But mostly people thinks of the traditional music as borning, difficult and old-fashioned one. It's mostly because schools, the formal educational institute, can not convince the young students of the value of the traditional music at childhood and an adolescent period that their ego and their values are built. As especially music education in the past was focused on western music, now the adults are not received systematic and desirable music education. It would say that it's too late to explain the importance and necessity of the traditional music to the grownups in the environment, but traditional music education to the adults should not be neglected. said music educators and educational policy planners. If traditional music education drew back, our music would be no place to go. Study on traditional music education for the adults that is fallen behind both qualitatively and quantitatively as above was done through organizing records on theoretical background and one and two of questionnaire. The questionnaire one was composed of questions of answering on basic knowledge of traditional music. The questionnaire two was made up questions of answering on current thought about traditional music that the adults understands I would like to suggest reform measures as a result of this study on traditional music education for the adults that has many problems. First, music education that is specialized in adults is needed, which is suitable for physical and psychological and social development task of adults. Second, traditional music education for the adults has to be done by national policy in the long run plan. Third, traditional music education through mass media that is familiar and interesting is needed. There are a lot of musics in the world. It's our traditional music among them that expresses our emotion and our inner world well. Tradition is not old-fashioned thing but a bridge linked our past and future. It is tantalizing to see our traditional music which is losing its power. So the music educators and educational policy planners at the educational field has to do scene centered deep study to let the adults get familiar with traditional music and consider it as more important thing. I would like to suggest that developing our unique musical culture through develope attendance both qualitatively and quantitatively should be done.
