서울 문화거리의 재해석과 공간특성에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 서울 문화의 거리 고찰에 관해 분석하였다. 그 궁극적인 목적은 문화환경의 중요성이 부각되면서 다양한 변화를 맞고 있는 도심 문화거리에 관한 가치를 파악하고 재해석하는데 있다. 이를 위해 문화환경에 대한 전반적인 개념정리와 문화거리의 현황을 우선적으로 정리했다. 물질적인 풍요로움보다 삶의 질을 중시하는 사회가 되면서 문화가 도시민의 삶의 중심이 되었다. 그리고 거리는 이러한 문화를 반영하여 도시의 문화적 가치를 표현하는 새로운 소통의 장소로 인식되어 가고 있다. 따라서 문화의 개념을 명확히 하고 문화환경의 범위와 문화거리의 현황파악을 통해 연구 주제의 개념을 명확히 하였다. 다음으로 서울의 전반적인 문화환경 변화에 관한 조사 · 분석을 통해 서울 문화거리의 흐름을 파악하고 문화거리의 사례를 분석하였다. 서울의 정책적 · 역사적 · 공간적 변화를 문화거리 중심으로 파악한 후 변화과정을 정리하였다. 이 과정은 문화환경의 변화속에서 문화거리가 나아갈 방향의 기초현황을 파악하고자 하는 것이다. 그 결론으로, 조성된 문화거리가 가진 문화적 가치를 분석해 봄으로써 문화거리가 활성화 되어 사용자와 공간이 어울릴 수 있는 문화소통의 장소가 되기 위한 새로운 관점을 제시해 보고자 한다. 이상의 연구 및 사례분석결과를 요약하자면 다음과 같다. 문화환경은 끊임없이 변화 · 발전 해왔다. 그 환경의 일부인 거리 역시 많은 변화를 겪어왔다. 정책의 일환으로, 역사의 일부로, 사용자의 편의데로 변화되어왔다. 그러나 거리는 목적과 의도를 가지고 접근하는 공간이 아니라, 문을 나서면 마주치는 일상적인 공간이다. 통과하는 공간이 아닌 머무는 공간, 관찰과 관조의 공간, 참여와 오락의 공간, 여가와 즐거움의 공간으로써 다양한 활동과 독자적인 성격이 부여될 때 거리는 문화환경의 일부로 도시의 문화적 가치를 더할 수 있는 공간이 될 수 있다. 이러한 의미로써 본 연구는 문화거리의 다양한 가치를 인식하고 문화적 가치를 바라보는 새로운 관점을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 통해 문화거리 조성 시 도시의 경쟁력을 확보하고 도시민들의 삶을 윤택하게 할 수 있는 일익을 담당하기를 기대하는 바이다.|This thesis research is about social and cultural consideration of the street in Seoul. As demanding of importance to cultural and social environment, the ultimate proposal of research is based on realizing of the value about cultural street in the city, which has been changed in this technology period. First of all, I would like to mention about the definition, general idea of the cultural environment and overall present condition of cultural street in Seoul. These days, the people demand the quality of their life rather than materialprosperity. Likewise, as following of this social change, there is also cultural movement is changed to the importance of cultural life. The street in the city has the new function which is one of the communication for response of cultural value and delivery it to public. Therefore, in this thesis research, I was trying to clear up the idea of the research subject and analyzing of the present cultural street condition in the city. In addition, for finding the way to development of the cultural street in the city, I was trying to analyze the cultural environment within the aspects of historical, political, and tectonic space change. As a result from this research, the cultural environment has been changed spontaneously with other cultural, social facts. Also, the culturalstreets have been changed within that influence. These all changes in cultural environment have been effected from historical and social facts which based on contributed people’s cultural life. This space which is the cultural street is for the people and by the people, therefore, it has meaning of various proposals depend on people’s own definition to the space; entertainment space, conversation space, activities space and so on. Finally, I really expect that these cultural street development will contribute to people’s cultural life and also the growth of the city as more green and cultural city based on realizing the new cultural values.
