색과 소리의 공감각을 활용한 통합미술교육

Abstract

예술가의 언어이며 감각과 지각을 연결하는 다리로서 예술적 아이디어의 다양한 모티브를 제공해주는 공감각에 대한 관심이 날로 증대되고 있다. 이러한 관심은 첨단과학기술의 발달로 뇌에 대한 연구가 다각적으로 이루어지고 천재라 일컬어지는 과학자, 음악가, 화가들에게 공통적으로 나타나는 성향이 공감각이라는 사실이 밝혀지면서부터 더욱 커지고 있다. 또 다양한 매체의 발달이 가져온 예술간의 자연스러운 융합은 우리들에게 줄곧 공감각적 현상을 경험하게 한다. 공감각의 형태는 다양하게 나타나지만 그 중 색채와 관련된 공감각이 가장 많다고 한다. 이에, 필자는 미술과 음악이 상호작용해온 사례를 통해 그러한 것들이 색과 소리의 물리적 성질에 기인한다는 사실에 착안하여 시각과 청각의 공감각을 활용한 통합미술교육 연구를 수행하게 되었다. 연구의 진행과정을 요약하면 아래와 같다. 서론에서는 연구목적 및 필요성과 연구방법 및 내용에 대해 서술하고, Ⅱ장에서는 이론적 배경으로 과학의 발달에 따른 교육의 변화와 이에 대한 대안으로서 통합교육과정을 제시하였다. Ⅲ장에서는 미술과 음악의 상호 연계성과 색과 소리의 관계에 대해 고찰하였다. 나아가, 색과 소리의 관계에 대해 과학이 명쾌한 해답을 주었지만 이러한 연구 발표가 교육에 적용되지 않음을 지적하고 그 해결책을 모색하고자 하였다. 따라서 필자는 이러한 색과 소리의 특성을 미술교육에 도입하여 통합적 감각 표현을 가능하게 하는 공감각에 대해 검토하고 Ⅳ장에서 공감각에 기초한 미술교육의 실제에 대해 고찰하였다. 마지막으로 색과 소리의 공감각을 활용한 미술교육 지도방안을 제시하면서 앞으로 개편될 교과서에 색과 소리의 관계와 속성을 색채 단원에 포함할 것을 주장한다. 이는 더욱 다양한 미술-음악 교과의 연계적 학습을 가능하게 하고 더 나아가 물리·과학 교과와의 통합도 기대할 수 있어 보다 폭넓은 학습효과를 창출하게 될 것이다. 한편, 통신과 멀티미디어의 발달이 획기적인 교육의 변화를 가져왔지만 실제 교육 현장은 이러한 시대적 요구에 제대로 부응하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에, 본 연구에서는 시대적 변화에 부응하는 전문가들의 미술교육 학습모형 연구의 필요성을 강조하고, 이러한 노력이 창의적이며 능동적인 미술교육활동으로 직결될 수 있는 계기를 마련해 줄 것이라 기대하는 바이다.|These days interest is growing regarding synthesia, the artist's language, which acting as a link for the senses and perceptions provides motives for diverse artistic ideas. This interest has been producing a pioneering of research on the development of the brain ever since synthesia has been commonly found in so-called geniuses in science, music and painters. Also, the artist's natural fusion of arts brought about by advancements in media allows us to experience diverse phenomena of synthesia. The forms of synethesia appears in a variety of ways, among them which is through color synethesia. On this, the author takes examples of reciprocal actions to show that these originate from the physical characteristics of color and sound and studies the integrated art education by using the synethesia of sight and hearing. The research process is summarized as follows. The introduction describes the purpose and need of this research as well as the methodology. The second chapter portrays the changes in education through scientific developments the and its integrative education process. The third chapter examines the reciprocal linkage of the fine arts and music as well as the relationship between color and sound. Furthermore, the author mentions that although the relationship between color and sound has clearly been proven, these results do not apply to education and attempts to find a resolution. Thus, the author incorporates the characterstics of color and sound into art education, observes the synthesia which allows for integrative expressions of feelings, while the fourth chapter examines the art education's reality based on synethsia. Lastly, suggests a guidance program that utilizes the synethsia of color and sound included as a unit of the relationship and characteristic of color and sound for the modifications of the textbook. This will allow for more diverse art-music curricula as well as the integration of physics-science curricula to produce a greater effect on learning. Developments in communications and multimedia have brought immense changes in education, but educational instutions have not been able to meet the demands these changes. For this, this study emphasizes the need for professional art education training to meet the demands of the changing times and expect it to directly connect creative and energetic art educational activities.
