상소문을 활용한 화법 교육 방안 연구

Abstract

국어과 교육에서는 모든 개인에게 성장 후 직업상, 사회 활동상 필요한 언어 능력을 길러주어야 한다. 수많은 정보와 가치가 충돌하는 현 사회에서 요구하는 능력은 자신의 의사를 정확하게 전달하고 상대방을 설득할 수 있는 능력이다. 특히 조직 사회 내에서 주재자를 사이에 둔 토론의 경우 공적인 자리에 알맞은 예의와 격식을 담은 토론 능력을 필요로 한다. 이러한 공적 토론을 성공적으로 진행하기 위해서는 말하기를 위한 준비된 글쓰기(개요 작성)가 중요하다. 그러나 정작 학교 교육에서는 이에 대한 교육이 제대로 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본고에서는 공적 토론을 위한 개요 작성이 그 중요성에도 불구하고 학교 교육에서는 소홀히 다루어지고 있다는 이러한 문제 인식에서부터 출발하였다. 현행 교육은 ‘무엇을 어떻게 쓸 것인가’에 대한 말하기 준비 과정보다는 실제 활동 위주의 말하기 기술 익히기에 치중하고 있어 말하기의 질적 향상을 꾀하기 어렵다. 또한 서구에서 발달 되어온 형식이나 절차만을 소개하고 있어 문화적 정체성에 대한 고려가 보이지 않으며, 예시로 든 동시대의 자료는 공적 토론에 알맞은 예의와 격식을 갖춘 토론 양식을 익히기에 적절하지 않다. 따라서 이에 대한 보완책으로서 고전 상소문을 활용한 토론 교육을 제안하는 바이다. 상소문은 임금과 신하라는 특수한 관계 하에서 정책에 대한 논쟁을 담은 글이므로 주재자를 둔 공적 토론의 양식을 익힐 수 있는 전범으로 삼을만하다. 본고에서는 토론의 과정 중 입론과 반대 신문에 해당하는 단계에 필요한 개요 작성에 한정하여 교육 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이에 대한 연구는 다음과 같이 진행하였다. 먼저, 설득 화법에 있어서 내용 조직의 중요성을 확인하고 이에 대한 학교 교육이 제대로 이루어지고 있는지 그 현황을 비판적으로 검토하였다. 그리고 이로부터 고전 예시 자료의 필요성을 도출해내고, 상소문의 화법 교육적 활용 가능성에 대해 그 교육적 가치를 논하였다. 본고는 토론 교육 활용에 적절한 상소문으로 세종조 ‘강경-제술 논쟁’ 중 나온 김반과 변계량의 상소문을 선택하여, 토론의 입론과 반대 신문 준비 단계에 필요한 내용 조직 원리들을 분석하였다. 그리고 상소문 분석 결과 얻을 수 있었던 거시적인 논증 구조와 미시적인 논증 구조, 논쟁 전략을 학생들이 스스로 발견해가는 과정을 통해 토론 준비 단계에 필요한 원리들을 익히고, 이를 직접 활용하여 입론과 반대 신문을 준비할 수 있도록 하는 교육 방안을 제시하였다. 상소문이 어렵다는 인식이 팽배한 탓인지 상소문을 교육적으로 활용하고자 하는 연구는 아직 초기 단계에 머물러 있다. 상소문은 예의와 격식을 갖춘 토론 형식의 전범이며, 이를 통해 우리의 전통적인 토론 과정과 논변 구조도 확인할 수 있다는 점에서 화법 교육적 자료로서 풍부한 가치를 지닌다. 본고의 연구가 화법 교육 자료의 질적․양적 확대에 도움이 되길 바란다. | It should be improved to every individual after being grown up the ability which is needed in professional and social activities in education of Korean language. What it is required at the process of modern society that the various information is in collision with the value is the ability which could communicate our own opinions clear and persuade the other people. Particularly, in case of the debate which is with the chairman in social structure it is required the debate ability with right manner and formality on public situation. To progress successfully this sort of public debate prepared writing(outline preparation) for speaking is important. But it turned to be not fulfilled well of this kind of education at school education. This study started from the recognition of this kind of problem which is drawing up the outline for public debate have been careless despite of the importance. The present system of education is hard to make progress in quality. Because it would rather real activity-centered speaking skills than for the progress of preparation about how and what should we write. Also it seems that there are no consideration of cultural identification because it deal with the only format and procedure which has been developing in the West. The exemplified contemporary data is not adequate for learning debate format with proper manner and form to public debate. In consequence I'm going to suggest debate education using classic Sang So Moon as a complementary measures. "Sang So Moon(Memorial to the king)" is the writing which includes the argument about the politics under the special relationship between the king and retainer. Therefore it deserve to be a model which could learn the format of public debate that there is a chairman. This study is aimed at defining the outline preparation which is required the step contained by the questioning between argument and opposition of the debate process and showing some plans of education. First of all, it is verified the importance of content construction on persuasion speech and reviewed critically the situation that school education is carried out well. And it is drew the necessity of material of classic example, and discussed the educational values about Sang So Moon's speech use educationally. The study is and adequate Sang So Moon. It is chosen Kim Ban and Byen Gye-Ryang's Sang So Moon which if from "Recite a Confucian classic(講經)-composition(製述) argument" during King Sejong period. Also the macroanalysis, microanalysis and controversy strategy through the process that the students find it by themselves. Besides it shows the education plan which helps to get ready the questioning between argument and opposition using Sang So Moon directly. The study which is used as Sang So Moon educationally has been staying yet at the beginning step because the recognition that it is difficult widespreadly. Sang So Moon is a model of debate with manner and form. Also is has plentiful value as a speaking education materials. It could be possible to verify our traditional debate process and argument structure. I hope this study helps every people enlarging quality and quantity of a speech education materials.
