뿔렝끄의 가곡 『명랑한 노래들』(Chansons Gaillardes) 반주연구

Abstract

이 논문은 뿔렝끄(Francis Poulenc, 1899-1963)의 1926년 성악작품인 『명랑한 노래들』(Chansons Gaillardes)에 관한 연구이다. 뿔렝끄는 신고전주의(Neoclassicism)을 지향하는 프랑스 6인조(Les six)의 일원으로 가장 순수하게 프랑스 가곡의 전통을 이어온 작곡가 중 한 명이다. 그는 전통적인 음악 기법 위에 단순하면서도 아름다운 선율을 통해 시와 음악을 조화롭게 하였으며, 특히 초현실주의 시에 많은 가곡을 작곡 하였다. 『명랑한 노래들』은 뿔렝끄가 17세기 작자미상의 노래 모음집에서 발췌한 시에 붙여진 곡으로, 모두 여덟 곡으로 이루어져 있다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 뿔렝끄의 생애와 시기별 작품 경향을 알아보고, 연구 대상으로 정한 『명랑한 노래들』의 가사와 음악과의 관계성을 분석한 뒤 성악 선율과 반주 부분의 연주해석에 도움을 주고자 한다. 이때 성악가와 피아노반주의 조화로운 해석이 작곡가의 의도를 보다 정확히 담을 수 있다는 전제를 가지고 본 논문을 연구하였다. | This thesis is Francis Poulenc(1899-1963)'s research of 『Ribald Songs』(Chansons Gaillardes), a vocal music piece written in 1926. Poulenc is one of the members of 'French Le Six' which followed Neoclassicism. He is one of the composers who tried to help the tradition of French song's remain pure. He tried to maintain the balance between the poetry of his lyrics, and the music itself using the simple and beautiful melodies used in tradition music technique. Particularly, he composed several songs using surrealistic poetry. 『Ribald Songs』 is Poulenc's selection from a collection of songs written by an anonymous poet of the 17th century. 『Ribald Songs』contains a total of 8 songs. There are Poulenc's life and his work of timely tendency in the thesis. Moreover, this study is analyzed about the relationship between translation of the lyrics of 『Ribald Songs』and his music. As a result, this research plays significant roles in appreciating a better performance of both the vocal melody and the accompaniment as well as in understanding the composer's intention based on harmony between the singer and the accompanist.
