빛의 이미지를 통한 심상 표현연구 : 염색 작품을 중심으로

Abstract

빛은 자연의 가장 근본적인 요소로 인간의 삶과 불가분의 관계를 맺고 있다. 이러한 빛은 인간에게 있어 모든 활동을 위한 조건이자 사물의 존재를 분명하게 한다. 전통 서구 회화에서 빛은 어두움 속에 감춰진 신비한 것을 드러내어 주기 위한 상징적 표현으로 사용되었고, 종교적·철학적으로 여러 가지 상징물로 많은 의미가 부여되어 왔다. 그러나 현대에 들어와서는 작품의 표현대상이 되었고, 이로 인해 빛은 새로운 공간 속에서 하나의 자유로운 자율적 위치를 갖게 되었다. 이러한 의미로 본인은 빛을 일상생활의 경험에서 가시적 현상 세계를 토대로 단순한 재현이 아닌 존재론적 차원으로 인식하고, 경험되어지는 시각적 인상을 형상화 하는 과정에서의 그 본질과 움직임을 알고자 하였다. 본인에게 있어 빛은 순간과 영원을 느끼게 한다. 불꽃처럼 격렬했다가 잔잔해지는 떠오르는 태양의 찬란함과 석양의 숙연함, 무지개 빛으로 충만하게 발산되며 확산되고 뻗어가는 빛의 순간적 이미지를 자연과 인간의 관계, 즉 본인의 내면세계와 외부 세계와의 만남을 작품을 통해 구현하고자 하였다. 그리하여 본 연구는 빛의 자연 현상을 자기 인식 과정으로 느끼고, 마음으로 느껴지는 감정과 정서를 빛의 순간성을 통해 내면세계를 형상화하여 심상을 표현해보고자 수행되었다.|The light is inseparably related to the life of human beings as the most fundamental element in nature. It's a condition for all activities of human beings and exposes the existence of things in bright. The light was used as a symbolic expression in the traditional western paintings to reveal a mysterious thing left behind in darkness. It's also endowed with many meanings as various symbols in religion and philosophy. However, it becomes a target of works in modern days and to have an autonomous status in a new space accordingly. In this meaning, the light is considered not in a simple revival but in an existential level based on a visual phenomenon obtained from an experience of daily lives to study its essence and movements in the process of forming a visual impression being experienced. The light makes feel a moment and the eternity. The sun's resplendence emerging in intense and calm, the sunset's solemness, and a moment image of the light fully filled with rainbow lights, lighted and extended are to be expressed in a view of relation between the nature and men. Namely, it would like to be embodied a meeting of inner and outer worlds through works. Therefore, the study is to express a mental image of emotions and feelings from the heart by forming inner world through a moment of the light, recognizing a natural phenomenon of the light as a process of self recognition.
