브람스의 《바이올린 소나타 2번,Op.100》의 분석 연구

Abstract

브람스(Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897)는 19세기 실내악 작곡가로서 명맥을 이어갔던 중요한 작곡가이다. 본 논문에서는 1886년 그의 완숙기에 휴양지의 밝고 따듯한 분위기를 반영한 《바이올린 소나타 2번, Op.100》을 분석 연구하였다. 분석에 있어 체계적인 형식 속에서 나타나는 브람스의 특징을 파악하려 하였고, 중요한 발전요소로 작용하는 모티브를 중심으로 한 악장 혹은 전체 악장에서 어떠한 방법으로 등장하여 유기적 관계를 이루는지를 고찰하였다. 제1악장은 제시부, 발전부, 재현부, 코다의 전통적인 소나타 형식을 따르고 있다. 제시부의 제1주제는 A장조이며 부드럽게 시작하는 첫 두 마디의 음형은 한 악장 혹은 전체 악장에 음정 관계가 발전되거나 리듬이 변형되어 나 타고, 이는 《바이올린 소나타 2번》의 유기적 관계를 증명하는 중요한 모티브가 된다. 제2주제는 E장조이며 제1주제와 마찬가지로 서정적인 분위기로 진행되는데, 이는 보통의 주제가 성격이 대비되는 것과 다른 양상을 보인다. 제2악장은 3부분 형식으로 구성되며, 각 부분은 느린 주제와 빠른 주제가 서로 대비되어 나타난다. 제1부분은 느린 주제가 F장조로, 빠른 주제가 d단조로 제시되며, 느린 주제에서 나타나는 음형은 새로운 모티브가 되어 2악장 전체에서 중요한 발전요소로 작용한다. 제2부분은 D장조로 느린 주제를 발전시키는 부분과 A장조로 빠른 주제를 발전시키는 부분으로 이루어져 있다. 제3부분은 각 부분을 발전시켜 곡을 마무리하는 코다 역할을 한다. 제3악장은 7부분 론도(A-B-A'-C-A''-B'-A''') 구조이다. 론도의 주제를 제시하는 A와 주제를 발전하여 반복하는 A',와 A'', A''' 사이에 에피소드 B, C, B'가 나타나며, 셋잇단음표, 16잇단음표 등의 리듬 변화로 우아하고 부드럽게 진행되는 주제선율의 분위기를 환기한다. 1악장과 2악장에서는 중요한 발전요소가 되는 모티브가 등장한다. 1악장 첫 마디의 모티브ⓐ는 1악장뿐만 아니라 2, 3악장 전체에 음정 관계가 발전되어 나타나 전체 악장이 유기적으로 연결되게 한다. 모티브ⓐ에서 확장되어 새로운 형태로 나타나는 모티브ⓑ와 모티브ⓒ는 각각의 리듬적 요소가 1악장과 2악장 내에서 등장하여 악장 내에서 유기적 관계를 맺는다. 브람스는 전통적인 형식과 구조에 의거하여 《바이올린 소나타 2번》을 작곡하고 있으나, 그 속에 서정적인 선율, 조성의 다양함, 다양한 변주 기법, 헤미올라와 셋잇단음표의 복합적 리듬 사용 등 낭만적인 음악 요소를 사용하여 고전적 낭만주의자의 면모를 보이며, 그의 중요한 작곡기법인 모티브의 발전을 통해 한 악장뿐만 아니라 곡 전체가 유기적 관계를 맺고 있음을 알 수 있다.|Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) is one of the leading composers of Germany in the 19th century. He has made achievements in various genres, and chamber music is one of the genres he particularly loves. In this paper, Violin Sonata No.2 was analyzed for each movement, and the motif was developed throughout the song and the organic relationship was studied. The first movement of Violin Sonata No.2 consists of three movements, and the first movement follows the traditional sonatas of the exposition, the development, the recapitulation, and the coda. The first and second topics of the presentation are both composed of soft melodies. The main theme and codetta are important elements of development in power generation. The first topic of the reproducible part is reproduced in a reduced form than the first part of the presentation part, and the second part is reproduced with the joint structure exactly in line with the presentation part. Coda repeats the elements of the first theme and finishes the first movement with a vigorous progression. The second movement is a three-part form, And each part contrasting the slow and fast parts. You can find the motif of the first movement in both parts. The third movement has an elegant atmosphere in the form of a seven-part Rondo. The violin presents the subject of major A, and the motif from the left-hand accompaniment of the piano gently supports the violin in an extended and avant-garde form. With a simple violin melody, colorful arpeggio and pull-tone piano accompaniment are the main features, adding a sense of life to the soft atmosphere. As you can see from the above analysis, Brahms's "Violin Sonata No. 2" follows the classical form, but Brahms' musical characteristics are well illustrated by romantic factors such as frequent use of Hemiola, various rhythm changes such as pull and set notes. At the same time, the sound and rhythm development of the first movement motive, which appears across the entire movement, can be seen that each movement has an organic relationship with each other.
