베토벤의 바이올린 소나타 연구

Abstract

논 문 개 요

베토벤(Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827)은 하이든(Franz Joseph Haydn, 1732-1809), 모차르트(Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, 1756-1791)와 더불어 비엔나 고전주의를 대표하는 작곡가 중 한사람이다. 베토벤은 하이든과 모차르트가 구축한 고전주의 양식에서 벗어나 감정의 다양한 표현, 자유로움을 추구하여 낭만주의 음악으로 나아가는 교량적 역할을 하였다. 그의 작품 시기는 일반적으로 3기로 구분되는데, 제1기(1786-1802)는 하이든 모차르트 등과 같은 이전 음악가들의 작곡 성향을 모방하던 시기이다. 제2기(1803-1816)는 베토벤 자신만의 독자적이고 개성적 성향이 두드러지게 나타나며 낭만주의 작풍을 개척했던 시기이다. 그리고 마지막으로 낭만주의를 정착시키고 크게 발전시킨 제3기(1817-1827)이다. 그 중 ?Violin sonata No.8, Op.30-3?은 제1기에서 제2기로 넘어가는 1802년도에 완성된 작품으로 작품양식 시기 중에 초기에 속한다. 하지만 형식적인 균형미를 중요시하면서도 음악적 의지를 자유롭게 표현하고 있어 중기 이후의 작곡 기법에 가깝다고 볼 수 있다. 또한, 베토벤의 대담성과 독특한 화성처리로 개성과 성숙미를 보여주는 곡이기도 하다.

본 논문은 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업 연주회의 연주곡목 중 하나였던 Beethoven의 ?Violin sonata No.8, Op.30-3?을 중심으로 살펴보겠다. 즉, 베토벤의 생애와 음악사적 의미, 베토벤 바이올린 소나타의 전반적인 특징을 살펴봄으로써 그의 음악세계를 좀 더 넓게 이해하고 연주 해석을 통해 연주자들의 실제 연주에 도움을 주는데 그 목적이 있다. |ABSTRACT

A Study on Beethoven's Violin Sonata -An Analytical emphasis on G Major Sonata No.8, Op.30-3 and a performance guide-

Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) is one of the composers representing Vienna classicism along with Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791). Beethoven acted as a bridge toward Romantic music pursuing freedom and various expressions of emotion breaking away from Classicism established by Haydn and Mozart. Beethoven's work period is classified into 3 periods. The first period(1786-1803)is characterized by emulation of style of composers such as Haydn and Mozart. The second period (1803-1816) is characterized by pioneering Romantic style through expression of unique and original style. The third period(1817-1827) is characterized by his great contribution to developing and establishing Romanticism. ?Violin sonata No.8, Op.30-3?created in 1802 which was around the end of the first period and the beginning of the second period comes under a category of the early period in terms of work style but it can come under a category of the middle period on the ground that it expresses his idea in a free fashion though it considers the beauty of symmetry. ?Violin sonata No.8, Op.30-3? shows Beethoven's individuality and maturity through boldness and unique harmonic approach.

This thesis studies Beethoven's violin sonata centering on Beethoven's ?Violin sonata No.8, Op.30-3? which was one of concertino for graduation concert for completion of master's course. The objective of this study is to make a contribution to improving actual performance of musicians by understanding Beethoven's music better and examining life, significance and overall characteristics of Beethoven.
