발묵과 꼴라쥬기법을 통한 '등'(燈)의 서정적(抒情的) 추상표현 : 本人의 作品을 中心으로

Abstract

예술가는 내면에 살아 움직이는 감정을 예술작품을 통하여 나타내 보이고 싶어 한다. 그것이 객관화되어 공감을 불러일으킬 때 그 의의가 부여된다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 사회나 문화환경에 의해 반응하여 독자적인 회화양식으로 표현되고 표출된 내용은 예술가의 모든 경험의 총체가 되는 것이다. 그러므로 모든 일상생활은 예술에 의하여 개개인에게 의미 있는 감정의 심벌이 된다. 등(燈)이란 불(火)을 사용하여 어두운 곳을 밝게 하기 위한 욕망에서 인간이 창조 개발해 낸 조명구(照明具)를 일컫는다. 등(燈)의 종류 그 모습도 다양하지만 그중에서도 종교의식이나 축제에서 많이 이용되는 사찰의 '등'(燈) 이라는 소재를 가지고 한국적인 미감과 현대적인 감각을 병합시킴에 있어서 기원과 염원의 미의식이 담긴 삶의 의미을 표현하고자 하였다. 등(燈)속의 비친 촛불은 스스로를 태워 빛을 발하는 과정에서 인간에게 다양한 의미로 상징되어 왔으며 어둠 속에서 흔들리는 촛불의 신비한 빛은 인간을 쉽게 몰입시키고, 이에 따라 감정이입(感情移入), 회상(回想), 상상력(想像力)등 인간의 의식 활동은 현현(顯現)해 진다. 따라서 등(燈)의 외형적 형태에 대한 이미지를 원(圓)의 형상화로 표현하면서 사물의 이미지를 조형적으로 가시화해 볼 필요가 있다. 이러한 사물과 상징에 대한 이론을 살펴보고 '등'(燈)의 이미지가 인간의 내면세계를 표현하게 된 경위에 대한 서술과 등(燈)의 조형성이 갖는 상징적 의미를 이론적 배경으로 다루었다. 본 작품은 등(燈)의 존재방식 즉, 등속에 불빛은 바람 속에서 위태롭게 보존되지만 그 강인한 생명력은 삶에 대한 생(生)의 의지로서 사유(思惟)된 인간의 의지의 도약을 내용으로 조형화하였으며 분석 대상으로 7점의 작품을 제시하였다. 제작과정에 있어서는 묵(墨)과 섬유(천)가 어떻게 조화를 이루며 연결되는지 살펴볼 수 있는데 담묵(淡墨)을 이용하여 조형의 자율성과 즉흥적인 표현성을 통해 서정적 이미지를 이루어 내고자 하였다. 특히 화면에 의한 꼴라쥬 기법은 한지와 천의 중첩을 이용한 서정적 추상표현의 한 방법이었으며 이러한 사물의 이미지를 통해 생겨나는 화면의 표현 방법들을 실험?? 봄으로서, 등(燈)의 내면적인 현상을 보다 서정적(抒情的)인 미(美)로 추구하고자 하였다.|Artists want to show the feeling in inside through the works of art. It can be said that the meaning is given in rousing sympathy by objectifying. Thus, the contents expressed with original painting style by reacting by society or culture environment becomes the whole of all the experiences of artists. So, all the daily lives become the symbol of significant feeling to each individual to by art. Light is referred to as illumination too that human beings created and developed from the desire for lightening dark side by using fire. As for the kinds of lights, the forms are diverse. Then, this researcher tried to express the meaning of life in which there is the aesthetic sense of prayer and dearist wish in uniting Korean aesthetic sense and modern sense with the material of light of temples to be used much in religious ceremony or festival. Candle light lit in light has been symbolized with diverse meanings to human beings in the course to emit light by burning for itself, and the mysterious light of candlelight to tremble in darkness makes human beings be absorbed easily, and the conscious activities of human beings such as empathy, retrospection, and imagination etc. become manifest. Thus, it is necessary to visualize the image of things plastically, expressing the image for the external form of light by making circle into form. This researcher examined the theory about this thing and symblization, described the details that the image of light came to express the inside world of human beings, and handled the symbolical meaning that the plastic nature of light has as theoretical background. In this work, as for the existence method of light, that is, light in lamp is conserved dangerously in wind. But, this researcher made the strong life power into molding with the contents of jump of human will speculated as the will of life. It can be examined how Indian ink and fiber are harmonized in the course of manufacture. Then, this researcher tried to make lyrical image through the autonomy of molding and the impromptu expressivity. Especially, collage technique by picture was one method of lyrical abstract expression to use the overlap of Korean paper and cloth. And, this researcher tried to seek the inside phenomenon of light with more lyrical beauty by experimenting on the expression methods of picture to appear such image of things.
