바코드로 인식되는 사물화 현상에 관한 연구 : 본인의 작품을 중심으로

Abstract

과학기술의 발전과 기계문명의 발달은 인간에게 다양하고 편리한 환경을 제공해주는 동시에 그것으로 인해 풍부한 삶의 질을 높일 수 있는 기회를 현대인들에게 주었다. 그러나 한편으로는 발달된 문명의 산물로 볼 수 있는 현대 사회의 특징으로서 물질에 대한 추구, 사람들간의 소통의 부재 등을 들 수 있다. 이런 현상?湧? 불안과 소외, 정체성의 상실들로 나타나며, 이로써 인간의 정신적 삶은 물질적 풍요에 비하여 매우 빈약해져 있음을 볼 수 있다. 그로 인한 많은 현상들 중 인간성의 상실은 가장 큰 문제로 대두되고 있다. 후기 산업사회의 출현으로 다가올 미래사회에 즈음하여 고갈될 위험이 있는 인간과 인간의 휴머니즘을 '어떻게 되살릴 것인가'는 현대사회의 화두라 해도 과언이 아닐 것이다. 또한 현대사회에서 하나의 틀이라고 볼 수 있는 자본주의의 현상 중에서, 특히 물질에 대한 추구는 많은 물건들을 생산하고 소비하면서 마치 그것이 인간의 삶의 목적인 것처럼 보여진다. 사람들은 이렇게 만들어 놓은 생산품들을 편리하고 효율적으로 관리분류하기 위하여 상품에 인식 코드인 바코드로 표시하는 형식을 만들었다. 그런 현상은 상품에 있어서 뿐만 아니라, 지적 생산품에까지도 확산되는 추세이다. 바코드는 인간의 편리한 삶을 위해 고안된 문명의 산물로, 그 가치와 의미를 심벌화(symbolize)하여 나타낸 것이라 할 수 있다. 여기서 본인의 관심은 생산품에게 새겨지는 바코드를 하나의 상징적 기호로 생각하여 정체성을 상실해 가는 인간과 더불어 상품화되어 가는 유기체적 존재의 의미가 퇴색되어 가는 것을 표현하고자 하였다. 본 논문에서는 기호로 표식되어 사물화되는 존재의 의미와 비인간화에 대한 실망감 그리고 물질 추구에 대한 반발로 존재에 대한 정체성을 돌아보고자 한다. 자연 속에서 살아가고 있고 자연의 영역에서 벗어나지 못하는 한 존재로서, 그 자체의 순수성을 찾아보고자 하는 의미를 본인 작품 중심으로 다음과 같이 3장으로 구성하여 서술하였다. 제1장 서론에서는 본인 작품의 주제인 자연의 영역에서 살아가는 존재의 사물화에 관한 연구목적과 방법을 제시하였다. 제2장 본론에서는 주제설정의 이론적 배경과 표현적 방법 및 작품설명에 대해 서술하였다. 제3장 결론에서는 본 논문의 정리와 향후 본인의 작업 방향을 제시하였다.|The development of technology and the development of machine civilization offered diverse and convenient environment to human beings and gave the opportunity to be able to heighten the quality of rich life which is caused by it to moderns. Besides, as for the features of modern society which can be regarded as the products of developed civilization, the pursuit for material and the absence of communiction among people etc. may be enumerated. These phenomena appear as uneasiness, alienation, and loss of original form anture. And, it can be seen that the spiritual life of human beings is very weak in comparion with material richnes by those. Out of many phenomena to be caused by it is coming to fore as the greatest problem. It is no exaggeration to say that how can we revive human beings and human humanism which is dangerous to be dried up in coming future society by the appearance of post industrial society is the topic of conversation of modern society. In addition, out of the phenomenon of capitalism which can be regarded as one frame in modern society, the pursuit for material seems to be the goal of human live, while they produce and consume many materials. People made the form to indicate barcode to be recognition code on commodity so as to manage and classify the products made like this conveniently and efficiently. There is the tendency that such phenomenon is spread even intellectual product as well ad commodity. Barcode may be referred to as what showed the value and meaning by symbolizing them as the product of civilization devised for the convenient life of human beings. As for my interest here, this researcher tried to express the human image to lose original form nature and the existence of human beings to be commercialized with barcode by considering barcode carved on products as one symbolical mark. In this thesis, this researcher described around my work which made the meaning to try to find the purity into molding as follows, by looking back on the original nature form of human beings due to the disappointment sense for making human beings into things which is indicated with mark and for inhumanity and the resistance against material pursuit. This researhcer presented the goal and method of study for making humanbeings into things which is the subject of my work at the introduction in chapter 1. This researcher described the theoretical background of subject establishment, the expressive method, and the explantion of work at main discourse in the chapter 2. This researcher arranged this thesis and presented my future work direction at the conclusion in chapter 3.
