바이올린 활의 변천과정과 시대에 따른 운궁법에 대한 고찰

Abstract

바이올린은 16세기 초 이탈리아에서 만들어진 음향적으로 가장 완벽한 악기 가운데 하나로서 주법이나 음질에 있어 끊임없이 연구, 발전되어져 왔다. 그 결과 지금은 그 기능에 있어서도 독주 악기뿐만 아니라 앙상블, 심포니 등의 기악 음악 전 반에 걸쳐서 확고한 위치를 차지하고 있다. 이와 같이 바이올린이 주요 악기로서 역할을 담당하게 된 배경은 바로크 시대의 여러 바이올린 제작자들에 의해 악기가 발전하게 되고, 이를 토대로 다양한 연주기법이 시도된 점에서 찾을 수 있다. 그러나 무엇보다도 투르트(F. Tourte, 1747-1835)에 의해서 새롭게 개량된 활의 발전은 바이올린 연주기법 발전에 많은 영향을 주었으며, 활의 개량으로 인하여 기법은 더욱 다양하게 되었다. 바로크 시대 활 쓰기는 기본적인 주법만 사용하였으나 활이 탄력성이 크게 증가되어 여러 가지 콘트롤이 가능한 투르트의 활이 사용되기 시작하면서, 바로크 시대 활에서 쓰인 기본적인 주법이 변형되거나, 여기에 여러 가지 다양한 주법이 첨가되었다. 이렇듯 활의 변천과정과 발전에 따라 운궁법이 변화되었다. 본 논문은 바이올린의 활의 구조와 함께 활의 변천사를 고찰 하여, 바로크 시대와 투르트 시대의 바이올린 활의 특징과 음악적 차이를 비교하여 살펴보게 될 것이며 이와 같은 활의 변천과정에 의한 운궁법의 변화와 차이점에 대하여 알아보았다.|Violin has been studied and developed endlessly in rendition or tone quality as one of the most perfect musical instruments from viewpoint of sound which was made in italy in the early part of the 16th century. As the result, it is occupying from position over the whole of instrumental music such as ensemble and symphony etc. as well as solo instrument in the function also. Many violin makers in Baroque era remarkably developed the quality of violin and many different violin playing technique as well. But, first of all, F. Tourte (1747-1835) who was a bow maker remarkably developed the quality of violin bow and his contribution upgraded the violin bowing technique. Basic rendition used in the bowing technique of Baroque era, but the elasticity of the bow increased by the use of Tourte bow. Therefore, basic rendition of the Baroque bow was changed and added the new bowing technique. The bowing technique developed by the change course of the bow such as like this. This thesis observed the structure of the bow changed with the time and compared the Baroque bow with Tourte bow on characteristics and differences of music pattern. This study try to find out about the changes and differences of the bowing technique by the change course of the bow.
