미취학자녀를 둔 취업주부의 육아대체와 일가족갈등 및 삶의 만족도에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 맞벌이 가정 내에서 취업주부가 일과 가정생활의 다양한 영역 중 가장 큰 역할 갈등 요인으로 알려진 어머니 역할 즉, 육아에 대해 초점을 맞춘 것이다. 취업주부의 개인, 가정, 직장 변인에 따른 육아대체의 실태를 알아보고, 육아 대체로 인해 취업주부가 느끼는 일과 가정생활에 대한 부정적 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 마지막으로 육아대체실태와 일ㆍ가족 갈등이 취업주부가 느끼는 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 미취학 자녀가 있는 취업주부를 대상으로 설문 자료를 수집하여 분석하였으며, 이에 따른 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미취학 자녀를 둔 취업주부의 개인, 가정, 직장 변인에 따른 육아대체를 알아본 결과 모든 영역의 취업주부가 어린이집으로부터 가장 많이 육아도움을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 육아대체에 영향을 미치는 취업주부의 개인, 가정, 직장 변인으로는 취업주부의 연령, 학력, 첫째자녀연령, 동거가족구성, 총 가계소득 및 취업주부의 직업과 기업규모였으며, 그 중 가장 많이 영향을 미치는 것으로는 첫째자녀연령과 동거가족구성 및 총가계소득인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 미취학 자녀를 둔 취업주부의 개인, 가정, 직장 변인에 따른 일ㆍ가족 갈등을 알아 본 결과 취업주부의 연령과 동거가족구성이 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 미취학 자녀를 둔 취업주부의 육아대체와 일ㆍ가족 갈등간의 관계를 알아본 결과, 취업주부가 육아대체인력에게 느끼는 심리적 부담감 및 도움요청 용이성이 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 취업주부가 느끼는 일ㆍ가족 갈등은 개인, 가정, 직장 변인보다는 육아대체 요인이 더 큰 영향 요인임을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 미취학 자녀를 둔 취업주부의 개인, 가정, 직장 변인에 따른 삶의 만족도를 알아 본 결과, 취업주부 가정의 총가계소득과 직업이 영향이 있었다. 다섯째, 미취학 자녀를 둔 취업주부의 육아대체, 일ㆍ가족 갈등과 삶의 만족도의 관계를 알아 본 결과 육아대체인력에 따라 취업주부가 느끼는 삶의 만족도가 달라졌다. 또한 육아도움제공자에게 느끼는 심리적 부담감이 취업주부가 느끼는 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미쳤다. 일ㆍ가족 갈등과 삶의 만족도의 관계에서는 일ㆍ가족 갈등의 세 가지 유형 모두 삶의 만족도와 많은 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯 번째, 미취학 자녀를 둔 취업주부의 삶의 만족도를 설명하는 변인을 알아 본 결과 취업주부 가정의 총 가계소득, 육아대체인력이 설명 변인 이였으며, 일ㆍ가족 갈등의 세 가지 유형 중 일이 가정에 미치는 부정적 영향과 가정이 일에 미치는 부정적 영향이 취업주부가 느끼는 생활만족도를 설명하는 설명 변인 이였다.|This research is focused on the maternal role, or childcare, which is known as the biggest factor in role-conflict among the diverse areas of vocational and household lives that employed housewives have within consistently growing dual-income families. It sought to examine childcare alternatives according to individual, household, and vacation variables of employed housewives and to search their felt negative influences of vocation and household lives that arise from childcare alternatives. Lastly, there was a plan to study the variables explaining the degree of satisfaction towards life which employed housewives feel based on the childcare alternatives and work/family conflicts. To achieve this, data was collected and analyzed through surveys targeting employed housewives who have preschool children, and following research results are in accordance with it. First, the result of childcare alternatives along individual, home, and vocation variables of employed housewives with preschool children showed employed housewives in all areas as getting help from daycare centers the most. The individual, home, and vocation variables of employed housewives influencing childcare alternatives were their age, education level, age of first-born child, household family composition, total income, occupation, and company scale. Among them, the most influential variables were revealed as the age of the first-born child, household family composition, and total income. Second, the result of examining work/family conflicts along individual, home, and vocation variables of employed housewives with preschool children showed the age and household family composition of employed housewives having an effect. Third, the results of studying the relationship between childcare alternatives and the work/family conflicts of employed housewives with preschool children showed that there was a relationship between the emotional burden employed housewives feel toward alternative childcare workers and the simplicity of the request for help. It was found that the childcare alternative factor was more influential on the work/family conflicts employed housewives feel than the individual, family, and vocation variables. Fourth, the result of looking over the degree of satisfaction towards life among employed housewives with preschool children along individual, home, and vocation variables showed that the total income and occupation of the employed housewives’ families gave influence. Fifth, the result of investigating the relationship between childcare alternatives, work/family conflicts and the degree of satisfaction towards life of employed housewives with preschool children showed that the degree of satisfaction towards life that employed housewives feel differed according to the alternative childcare laborers. Also, the emotional burden felt towards the childcare providers influenced the degree of satisfaction towards life for employed housewives. In the relationship between work/family conflicts and the degree of satisfaction towards life, all three patterns of work/family conflicts were presented as having a close connection with the degree of satisfaction towards life. Sixth, the result of studying the variables to explain the degree of satisfaction towards life of employed housewives with preschool children showed total income and alternative childcare laborers of the housewives’ family were the explanatory variables. Among the three patterns of work/family conflicts, the negative influence that work had on home, and one that home had on work were the explanatory variables illustrating the degree of satisfaction towards life that employed housewives feel.
