미술교육의 현황과 개선방안 연구

Abstract

현대의 우리는 일상생활의 넘쳐나는 시각 이미지 속에서 살고 있으며, 미술교육은 이러한 이미지가 담고 있는 내용을 올바르게 읽어내는 힘을 길러준다. 미술교육은 학생들에게 미적 경험을 통해 미적안목을 키워주는 것이다. 미술은 자신의 생각과 경험에 대한 표현이며 시각적 언어가 될 수 있기 때문에 그 중요성을 깨닫고 더욱 활성화 되어야 할 것이다. 그러나 현재 우리나라 21세기의 세계화, 정보화 시대를 주도 할 창의적이며 전인적인 인간을 육성함에 있어 중요한 미술교육이 제 기능을 하지 못하고 있다. 표현활동 위주의 틀에 박힌 획일화된 수업을 지속한다면 학생들은 학교 미술 수업에 흥미를 잃어버리게 된다. 그러므로 학생들이 미술교육을 통해 흥미 있고 즐거운 경험을 할 수 있도록 다양한 미술수업 프로그램이 필요하다. 과거의 미술교육은 단순한 지식습득과 표현능력을 길러 주는 것이었다. 그러나 현재의 학생들에게는 창의적이고 주체적으로 살아 갈 수 있도록 미술교육을 통해 스스로 표현할 줄 알게 하고 일상생활에 적용하기도 하고 감상과 비평의 안목을 갖고 즐길 수 있게 하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 중등학교 미술교육의 중요성을 직시하고 미술교육의 현황과 개선방안에 대하여 연구한다. 미술 교육을 여러 이론적 배경을 중심으로 우리나라 교육과정의 현실, 다른 나라의 미술교육 현황, 미술관에서 이루어지고 있는 미술교육을 살펴보고, 국가별 미술교육을 분석하고 비교하여 미술교육의 개선방안을 제시한다. 미술은 인간의 삶에서 언어 역할을 대신하여 여러 시각 이미지에 관심을 가지고 창의적으로 개선하도록 하고 기술적, 인지적 사고가 성숙해 지는 과정에서 중요한 역할을 한다. 미술과 교육에서는 생활 속에서 자연스럽게 키워 나가야 할 미적인 안목, 창의적이고 개성적인 창작 능력, 문화적, 역사적 맥락 속에서 미술 문화의 가치에 대한 이해, 미술품을 볼 수 있는 능력 등을 고루 갖추도록 하고 있다. 감상 영역과 미적체험의 영역을 보다 교육 목표에 가깝게 달성하기엔 현 교실 내에서 이루어지는 수업이 역부족일 수 있다. 그래서 교실 내 사용되어지는 교과서를 좀 더 실용성 있게 활용하고 학교수업과 개연성 있는 미술관의 교육적인 부분들과의 연계방안을 모색하여 우리나라 교육과정 현실에 맞게 수업을 진행해야 할 것이다.|Our every day life in modern society is full of visual image. Art education birings out and fills our mind to understand the core theme of these images correctly. Through artistic experiences, art students are gifted with exceptional point of view towards art. Art can be reflection or visual language of one's thoughts and experiences. The importance of art must be actively emphasized. But today's art education in Korea is not sufficiently adapting to prepare students to become creative and professional artist ready to take on their role in world of rapid development of globalization and information technology. Current education within the boundaries of only expressions will drive students to loose interest in art classes. Therefore, diverse classes and programs with various interest points as well as interesting experiences are imperative for students. Previous art education were limited to information and expressions. Expression of one's view or feelings in terms of art. Application of these expressions, observations and critism with sufficient art education can not be more demanding in modern society to today's art students. This research will focus on current stand of art education in our middle schools as well as way to improve our education from direct point of view. Through diverse theoratical background of art educations taken as main point, art education from diverse countries and art museums will be exmined in this research and analization of each counties will be the base of devleopment suggestions in order to point the right direction to improve art education. Art inspires human society to realize interest on various visual imagism taking place of language and plays key role in course of maturity of technoligy and cognitive dissonance Art education consists of artistic view, creative and individual character, culture, understanding historical back ground to accurately comprehense value of art cultures and comprehension on work of art to cultuvate natural understanding of art in our every day life. But real world of current educations and classes face challenges to meet with these educational goals to enrich expressing and artistic experience. Current text books must be proactively utilized. Common factors of art educations from art museums and schools must be researched in order to seek out realistic and efficient process of art educations of our current situation.
