명작을 주제로 한 재료와 기법 연구 : 본인 작업을 중심으로

Abstract

본 논문은 1997년부터 1999년 사이에 제작된 본인의 작품을 통해본 인간 내면 세계를 중심으로 연구 서술한 것이다. 본인은 미술서적이나 TV등의 매체에서 지나간 시대의 명화들이 패러디 되어 나타나는 이미지들에 새로운 표현의 가능성을 느껴 본인의 그림에 차용하여 부조(浮彫)화된 화면을 통하여 인간의 내면의식의 흐르는 감성을 표현 하고자 하였다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 본인의 그림에서 다루고자하는 내용적 측면과 조형적 측면을 연구 분석해 이미지 도입 및 제작과정을 서술하여 앞으로의 작품을 진행해 나가는데 도움이 되고자 한다. 미술은 작가의 일상적 현실이나 체험, 또는 욕망, 무엇에 대한 끊임없는 추구 등의 정서적 감각을 토대로 표현된다. 이에 사람들은 그 미술작품과의 교감을 갖기 위해 감성이나 그리고 이성으로서 판단하여 이해한다. 본인의 작품은 감성에 많은 비중을 두었다. 이것은 미술이 갖는 특성 중 심미적 표현을 통해 인간의 가치나 사회적 상황, 시대, 이로 말미암아 생기는 역사, 작가의 개인적 삶까지도 반영된다고 보기 때문이다. 본인이 선택한 지난 시대의 그림들은 아름답기 때문에 혹은 의미가 많기 때문에 현시대에 이르기까지 미술사 속에 알려져 있는 것은 아니다. 그림은 사물을 보고 느끼는 인식의 힘으로서 그 그림들의 시대적 배경과 그 시대 인간의 내면세계 표현에 의한 인간의 반영체이기 때문이다. 즉, 시대와 환경은 연속적이지만 인간의 행동양식과 내면세계는 의식적이든 또는 무의식적이든 인간의 생활 속에 그리고 인간과 인간사이에서 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 본인의 과거와 현실에서의 체험과 기억의 저편에 남아있는 장면들을 과거미술을 차용하여 회화적 이미지를 만들어 감정을 어떻게 표현하고, 전개하였는지를 정리해 보았다. Ⅰ장 서론에서는 본인 작품의 연구 목적과 내용적 측면, 조형적 측면에 대하여 기술하였다. Ⅱ장은 본인의 내면세계를 표현하는데 있어서 과거미술이 어떻게 영향을 끼치는가를 정리해 보았다. 그리고 본인이 과거미술에서 느낄 수 있는 이미지들과 기억에 의해 형성된 이미지들을 하나의 매개로 하여 또 다른 이미지로의 전환으로 이끌기 위해 이미지의 도입이라는 방법을 선택하게 된 이유와 과거 기억 속의 이미지에 대한 개인적으로 느낀 색채와, 사각 평면을 탈피한 부조(relief)화된 화면을 통한 공간의 형성, 방법적으로는 그리기 기법과 오브제(objet) 사용, 파기, 붙이기, 왁스(wax)의 덮어씌우기를 이용해 설치의 내용과 벽을 장식하는 벽화의 내용에 대하여 언급하였다. Ⅲ장 결론에서는 본 논문의 연구과정에서 기존의 시각이미지를 통해 본인의 내면을 시각적으로 표현해온 과정을 살펴봄으로서 각 이미지들이 갖는 의미와 그것을 통해 본 인간의 내면세계 표현연구에 중점을 두었다.|This thesis is what studied and described the inside world of human beings which was seen through my work manufactured from 1997 to 1999. As I felt the possibility of new expression about the images that the famous pictures of past period appeared through parody in the media such as fine art book or TV etc., I tried to express the sense to flow in the inside consciousness of human beings through the embossed picture by using it in my drawing. In this thesis, this researcher tried to give help to progressing future work through the introduction of image and the description of manufacture course by studying and analyzing the contents side and the plastic side that I try to handle in my work. Fine art is expressed on the basis of the emotional sense such as the daily actuality or experience or desire of artists and the endless pursuit for something etc. So, so as to have the mutual response with the fine art works, people understand by judging with sense or reason. My work is unfolded by emphasizing sense much. This is because the value of human beings, the social situation, the period, the history to appear by them, and even the individual life of artistis are reflected through the aesthetic expression out of the features that fine art has. The pictures of past period that I chose are not known in fine art history up to present period, as they are beautiful or there are many meanings. Because the drawing is the reflection body of human beings by the expression of the period background of the drawings and the inside world of human beings of the period through the power of recognition to see and feel thing. That is, period and environment are continuous, but the behavior style and inside world of human beings exist in the life of human beings and between human being and human being consciously or unconsciously. In this thesis, this researcher tried to arrange how I expressed and unfolded feeling by making the pictorial image of my experience in past and actuality and of the scenes to remain over memory through th euse of past fine art. In the introduction of the chapter Ⅰ, this researcher described the study goal, the contents side and the plastic side of my work. In the chapter Ⅱ, this researcher tried to arrange how past fine art has influence on in expressing my inside world. And, this researcher mentioned the reason that I came to choose the method to be the introductin of image so as to lead the conversion into another image by making the images that I can feel in the past fine art and the images formed through memory of one medium, the individual viewpoint of color about the image in past memory, and the contents of installation and the contents of mural to decorate wall by the formation of space through unharmonized picture, the use of methodologically drawing technique and object, and the use of digging, and covering with wax. In the conclusion of the chapter Ⅲ, by examining the course that I have expressed my inside visually through existing visual image in the course of studying this thesis, this researcher emphasized the meaning that each image has and the expression study of inside world of human beings which is seen through it.
