떨잠의 장식부를 응용한 합(盒) 디자인 연구

Abstract

현대 공예는 다양하고 개성있는 복합적인 미를 추구한다. 또한 세계화에 따른 국가적 교류가 늘어남에 따라 그 나라의 고유한 문화 콘텐츠와 그에 맞는 디자인이 요구되고 있으며 이는 국가 경쟁력에도 영향을 미치는 중요한 분야로 발전하고 있다. 현 시점에서 대응해 나갈 수 있는 방법으로서 우리나라의 전통 금속공예품 중 하나인 떨잠의 장식부에서 보이는 조형적 요소를 재조명하여 응용하고자 연구를 시작 하였다. 떨잠의 장식부에는 우리나라 특유의 정서와 집약적 기술, 그리고 동적요소로 장식한 화려하고 은유적인 다양한 표현이 담겨 있다. 그리하여 합(盒)에 떨잠 장식부를 응용하는 것을 목적으로 하고 그 바탕이 되는 떨잠의 시대적 배경과 특징, 기법, 재료, 조형적 요소를 문헌을 통해 연구 하였다. 또한 현대의 기법과 재료를 함께 사용하여 현대적 감각에 부응함과 동시에 전통의 이미지를 표현하였다. 본 연구를 통해 접할 기회가 적었던 우리 전통 장신구의 아름다움과 의미를 우리 생활에 가까이 사용하는 공예품을 제작하여 대중과 보다 친밀한 유대 관계를 얻고자 하였다.|This thesis will analyze molding elements from the Korean traditional ornamental hairpin (personal ornament) and target to express it in a modern way by applying ornament hairpin’s modeling elements into an implicature decoration. Ornament hairpin is an accessory used in the ceremony for the queen or upper class females which is skill intensive and brilliant. Also, with various techniques and materials used such as spring, metal plate, jewelry contained trembling ornament called ‘Thelchulbanja’ in Korean which is the representing trembling characteristic. In this research it will be selected by the usage considering practical use and work applying molding elements of trembling of the ornament. It reflects movements according to various surrounding elements that bring psychological interest and trembling ornament’s figures with colors will reflect light causing glittering effects. By observing these glittering can make one to induce psychological concept from the part ornament from the whole work piece. Through this, observers and users could understand that coincidence force could lead into the product’s indirect involvement. Also, it could give the feeling of movement by applying trembling ornament part that contains light, metal, and spring to give movement with dynamic elements from the passive object. From this research, I could find that the traditional industrial art’s molding elements can possibility be applied as a new motive in the modern society and sincerely hope that this could give development and expand applying our tradition.
