동화 속에 나타난 환상적 이미지의 상징적 표현 연구

Abstract

우리는 누구나 어린시절에 자신만의 상상의 세계를 만들어 본 경험이 있다. 어린시절에는 상상 속에서 이성적이거나 합리적일 필요 없이 모든 것을 창조해 내다가도 성인이 되어 현실에 부딪히다 보면 어린시절 꿈꾸었던 환상의 세계는 소멸되고 오로지 현실의 갈등에만 집착하게 된다. 이러한 현실의 갈등이 반복되면서 우리는 점점 마음의 문을 닫게 되고 무의식적으로 고정화된 인식의 영역 안에 길들여져 살아가게 된다. 이러한 일상에 지쳐갈 때 쯤, 우리는 문득 이런 삶에 익숙해져 가는 자신의 모습을 발견하게 되고, 이러한 삶에서 벗어나고 싶다는 생각을 하게 된다. 어린시절의 순수함은 사라지고 고정된 사고에만 사로잡혀 살아가는 자신의 모습에 회의를 느끼게 되는 것이다. 다시 어린시절처럼 순수한 마음상태로 되돌아 가보려 노력해 보지만 우리는 여전히 잃어버린 어린시절의 순수함을 회복하지 못한 채 상실감에 놓이게 되고, 조금이나마 자신을 되돌아 볼 수 있는 기회를 놓치고 만다. 이 단계에 이르러 본인은 다시 되돌아오지 않을 어린시절의 순수함을 그리워하고 있음을 주목하며, 다시 한번 자신의 순수했던 어린시절을 되돌아보고 어른이 되어 잃어 버렸던 순수함을 작품을 통하여 조금이나마 회복시켜 보고자 시도하였다. 따라서 본 논문은 본인이 어린시절에 동화를 보고 느꼈던 기억들을 나무상자를 통해 재현한 본인의 작업이 어떠한 사유 과정에서 시작되었으며, 어떠한 메시지를 담으려 하였는가를 작품분석을 통해 설명하는 것이 목적이다. 그리하여 이를 위해 작품을 중심으로 주제설정에 대해 견해와 작품형성의 배경, 작품 분석 등 총 3장으로 구성하였다. 제 1장 서론에서는 ‘동화의 환상’과 ‘어린시절의 기억’이라는 주제설정과 그것을 조형화함에 있어서 작품이 의미를 갖게 되는 과정을 설명하고 연구목적과 연구방법 그리고 연구범위를 제시하였다. 제 2장 본론에서는 본인의 작품이 동화의 환상과 어린시절의 기억을 반영하는 작품이라는 기본적인 틀에 입각해서 본인의 작품 속에 나타나는 환상과 기억의 이미지들이 어떤 관점에서 해석 되어지고 표현하였는지를 설명하였다. 또한 개별 작품의 설명을 위해 작품사진과 작품의 제작 방법, 내용 등을 서술하였다. 제 3장 결론에서는 본 논문의 내용을 총괄하여, 본인 작품의 궁극적 목적을 서술하고 앞으로의 작품 활동 방향을 제시하였다.|Everyone has ever created the own fancy world in childhood. In our childhood, we created everything with imagination without being rational or reasonable. But, when we grew up, we are losing the fancy world that we imagined due to actuality and we cling only to the a conflict of the actual. As the conflict of the actual is repeated, we close our mind gradually and live in the area of unconsciously-fixed recognition. When we get tired in a daily life, we chance to look ourselves that get used to such the life, and want to escape from the life. As our childhood's purity disappears and we have only the fixed thoughts, we feel skeptical for ourselves. We keep trying to get back to the childhood's pure mind but we don't recover our childhood's purity. Then, we miss the chance to look back over ourselves. I attempted to look back the own pure childhood by considering that everyone miss purity of childhood that can never be regained, and to recover such purity through the work. Accordingly, this study was intended to described how I started my work that reproduced the childhood's memories about fairy tales through a wood box, and what kind of message I tried to contain. Therefore, three chapters of 'opinion on a theme setting', background of work creation, and work analysis based on the work for it. Chapter 1 as the introduction, described the process of the work in setting the theme of 'the fancy of fairy tale' and 'childhood's memory' and forming it, and mentioned the purpose, method and range of the study. Chapter 2 as the main body, described how the images of phantoms and memories in my work were interpreted and expressed, based on the basic framework expressing that my work includes the fairy tale's phantoms and childhood's memories. Also, Chapter 2 described the picture of the work, and the production method & contents of the work in order to explain the individual work. Chapter 3 as the conclusion, summarized the whole contents of the study and suggested a direction of future work activity by describing the final goal of my work.
