도형의 조형미를 응용한 니트 디자인 연구 : 손뜨개, 기계뜨기 기법을 이용하여

Abstract

오늘날, 고도로 발달된 산업화에 의하여 편리하지만 복잡한 생활 속에 살아가고 있는 현대인들은 과거의 단순하지만 편안했던 삶에 대한 향수에 젖어 과거로의 복귀를 꾀하고자 하는 현상이 두드러지게 나타나고 있다. 이러한 현상은 패션 분야에서도 이루?沮側? 있으며 그중에서도 우븐(woven)과는 달리 소재에 있어서 정서적 안정감과 평온함을 주는 니트웨어(Knit wear)는 현대인들에게 많은 각광을 받고 있다. 기술 및 지식이 집약된 산업인 의류 산업 중에 수요가 급격히 확대되고 있는 니트웨어 분야의 연구를 통해 고가의 패션문화상품 개발의 중요성을 인식시키고 나아가 아트적인 니트웨어와 고부가가치 니트의 특성과 장점을 살려 창의적이고 실용적이며 독창적인 니트 디자인이 절실히 요구 되고 있다. 또한, 현대인들은 평범한 디자인의 의류를 선택하기 보다는 자기만의 스타일과 독특한 색상으로 개성연출을 용이하게 하는 의류를 더욱 선호하는 경향이 있다. 그러므로 다양한 조형미를 응용한 니트웨어의 디자인으로 예술적이면서 한편으론 실용적인 스타일의 의류를 만들어 낸다면 이러한 소비자들의 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있다고 확신한다. 본 연구의 목적은 다양한 니트 방법을 통해 폭넓은 연구와 수공예적 기법의 특징을 살릴 수 있는 소재 개발에도 관심을 가져야 할 것을 널리 알리는데 있다. 이에 본 연구는 이러한 다양한 조형미를 실질적으로 의류 제작에 응용하여 새로운 디자인을 제시하고 그에 따른 영향을 조형적 이론에 반영하고자 한다. 특히 도형과 니트가 매치되었을 때 한층 더 조형미를 갖춘 니트 디자인이 부각될 것이라고 생각하여 본 연구에 도형을 응용하였다. 1장인 서론을 통해 본 연구의 의의, 연구 목적, 연구 내용 및 방법을 제시하였으며 2장에서는 니트의 이론적 배경인 니트의 정의, 니트의 역사, 니트의 종류 및 조직, 소재, 제조 방식을 고찰하였다. 3장에서는 조형의 이론적 배경을 조형의 정의 및 개념, 조형의 요소, 도형의 7가지 기하 형태군 등을 통해 간략하게 설명하고 있다. 4장은 작품기획을 설명한 장으로써 도형의 조형미를 응용한 디자인 사례 및 창작 작품 디자인을 소개하였으며 이 8개의 창작 작품들은 도형 즉 삼각형, 사각형, 원, 오각형, 타원형 그리고 육각형 등을 이용하여 만들어진 작품들이다. 본 연구에 문헌 고찰 방법은 논문, 학술지, 정기 간행물, 국내·외 문헌, 교육용 자료, 패션정보지 그리고 니트와 관련된 전문서적과 인터넷 등이 이용되었다. 또한, 니트의 디자인 경향을 알아보기 위하여 동대문과 남대문에 각각 위치한 백화점들과 소매점들의 시장을 조사하여 디자인 경향을 알아보았다. 디자인 아이템은 자연스럽고 편안한 실루엣의 니트를 여러 가지 기법으로 표현한 것들이며 삼각형, 사각형, 원, 오각형 그리고 육각형 디자인으로 입체적인 요소들을 부여함으로써 예술적인 도형의 조형미에 초점을 두었다. 창작 작품의 소재로는 울(wool), 면(cotton), 폴리아크릴(polyarcryl), 폴리아미드(polyamid), 동선 등 국내외 특수 사가 이용되었고, 일러스트와 도식화가 작품 설명과 함께 병행되었다. 작품 제작은 수편기와 기계편기의 기법을 적절히 사용하였으며, 작품들이 예술 의상의 느낌을 나타낼 수 있도록 하기 위함을 목표로 디자인 하고 제작 하였다.|Due to the highly advanced industrialization, people are living in a convenient but complicated life. Today's people are drenched in their nostalgia for the simple and easy life in the past, showing a vivid trend of returning to the past. Such a phenomenon continues its way in the fashion industry and among others. That is why knit wear is highlighted by today's people due to its material which gives the sense of stability and peacefulness unlike woven fabricslike old days. There is a sincere need to awaken the recognition of how important it is to develop expensive fashion culture products. Also retaining the attributes of artistic and highly value added knitwear to produce creative, practical, and unique knit designs is required. This should be done by study on knitwear because the demand is increasing rapidly amongst the technology and knowledge concentrated fashion industries. Also, today's people have a tendency of favoring garments that allow them to express their individualitieseasily with style and unique colors rather than going for clothes with typical designs. Therefore, it is convinced that creating artistic and yet practical knit wear with the designs applied with beautiful forms will satisfy consumers' needs. Thus, this study will attempt to suggest new designs by applying various forms of beauty to actual garment making and incorporate influences following these to formative theories. As it was thought that the knit design with formative beauty will be emphasized even more especially when forms and knit are coupled together, forms were used in this study. Chapter 1 is the introduction of this paper and it states this study's significance, purpose, contents, and methods used. Chapter 2 looks into the theoretic backgrounds of knit, such as its definition, history, types and construction, materials, and methods of production. Chapter 3 explains the brief theoretical backgrounds of forms using their definition and concept, elements, and 7 groups of geometric forms. Chapter 4 explains the planning of knit works and it introduces the cases of designs that used the formative beauty of forms and design of knit clothes to be made and these 4 creations are made using forms, meaning triangle, square, and hexagon etc. For study through literature, theses, academic journals, periodic, Korean and foreign literature, teaching materials, informative fashion publications, the books which are specialized on knitting and Internet etc. were used. Also, in order to find out the design trend of knit, market researches were carried out at department stores and retail shops in Dongdaemun and Namdaemun. Design items expressed natural and comfortable silhouetted knits in various techniques and by using three dimensional elements with circles, rectangles, triangles, and hexagons, the focus was put to the formative beauty of artistic geometric figures. For the works, special yarns from Korea and foreign countries were used and they included wool, cotton, poly acryl, poly amid, and copper wire and pictorial presentation of illustrations and explanation on the works are presented hand in hand. Thus, manual and mechanic knitting machines were suitably mixed, and they were designed and made for the purpose of looking closer to artistic garments. The purpose of this study is to alert people to take interest in developing materials that can enhance the characteristics of handicraft techniques and carry out a wide range of studies through various knit methods.
