데리다 해체주의를 표현한 바디아트 제작

Abstract

현대 사회는 정보화 기술의 발달로 여러 분야의 가치관 및 개성을 표현하는 방법 또한 많은 변화를 거듭하고 있다. 이와 같은 변화된 사회 속에서 예술 문화 영역의 바디아트는 융합화 혹은 차별화함으로써 다원성을 추구하며 개성을 드러내는 동시에 복잡한 여러 양상이 혼재되는 경향을 보이기도 한다. 이러한 사회 속에 현대인의 신념과 가치관도 많은 혼란을 겪게 되고 그 속에서 나름의 자아정체감을 갖기 위해 형식적이고 틀에 박힌 구조를 탈피하여 보다 개성화, 다양화 된 욕구를 추구하고 표현하게 되었다. 이에 본 연구는 자크 데리다의 해체주의의 특성을 분석하고 이를 응용하여 바디아트 작품을 제작하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 통하여 바디아트의 영역과 장르의 확대를 모색하는데 그 의의가 있다. 연구 방법은 해체주의 및 데리다의 해체주의의 개념과 특성의 이론적 고찰을 위하여 국내 학위논문 및 학회지에 발표된 선행연구 자료에서 자료를 수집하여 고찰하였다. 실증연구를 위한 데리다의 해체주의 특성이 나타난 바디아트 이미지를 분석하여 바디아트 작품으로 제작하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 해체주의의 개념 및 특성의 이론적 고찰을 통하여 차연, 상호텍스트성, 불확정성, 탈현상 4가지의 유형으로 분류할 수 있었다. 또한 바디아트를 페이스페인팅, 바디페인팅, 문신으로 구분하여 다양하게 나타난 바디아트의 해체주의 특성을 퇴폐성, 역사성, 양성성, 유희성 4가지의 유형으로 나누어 특성을 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 페이스 페인팅 3점, 바디페인팅 3점,의 총 6점의 바디아트 디자인을 계획하여 작품을 제작하였다. 바디아트에 표현된 해체주의 특성은 탈현상에 따른 퇴폐성, 차연적 특성에 따른 역사성, 상호텍스트성에 의한 양성성 그리고 유희적 요소에 의한 유희성으로 구분할 수 있었다. 작품 Ⅰ, Ⅱ는 해체주의 특징인 탈현상적 특성을 활용하여 비정상적인 추의 미와 자유로움을 표현하였다. 작품 Ⅲ은 새로운 형태의 결합을 표현하는 역사성을 나타내었으며, 작품 Ⅳ는 상호관계 속에 존재하는 양성성의 특성을 부각시켰다. 작품 Ⅴ, Ⅵ은 미 완성적이고 우연적인 형태의 유희적인 이미지를 표현하였다. 이상과 같이 해체주의의 특성을 바디아트에 적용함으로써 바디아트의 다양성 있는 디자인과 자유로운 표현에 대한 가능성을 제시할 수 있었으며, 앞으로도 폭넓고 융합된 연구를 통해 예술분야에서의 바디아트의 발전을 기대한다. |Modern society has witnessed much change in methods of expressing values and unique characteristics in many fields due to development of informatization technology. In such changing society, body art in the field of fine art culture has been either integrated with or differentiated from other areas pursuing the diversity and also representing unique characteristics and also complicated trends at the same time. In such society, there has been much of confusion in theology and value of modern people ending up pursuing and expressing unique but diversified desires beyond formal and stereotyped structure in order to a certain ego-identity. Hereupon, the objective of this study is to manufacture body art works by analyzing and applying the characteristics of de-constructivism by Jacque Derrida. Therefore, this study is intended to seek for expansion of the field and genre of body art. As for study methods, resources have been collected from previous researches in degree dissertations regarding de-constructivism and academic journals to theoretically consider concept and characteristics of de-constructivism Jacque Derrida. After analyzing the image of body art shown with characteristics of de-constructivism by Derrida, body art work has been manufactured for empirical research. As a result of this study, concepts and characteristics of de-constructivism were classified into four categories of transfiguration, mutual text uncertainty, and decomposition through theoretical consideration. In addition, body art was classified into face painting, body painting, and tattoo. Hereupon, characteristics of de-constructivism of body art shown hereof were classified into four types of corruption, history, androgyne, and enjoyment and analyzed thereafter. Based on them, total six of body art design works including four pieces of face paintings and three pieces of body paintings were planned and manufactured. Characteristics of de-constructivism shown in body art were classified into corruption from decomposition, history from transfiguration, androgyne from mutual text, and enjoyment from amusing features. Work I and II expressed the beauty and freedom of abnormal pendulum by using decomposition-related features that were also the characteristics of de-constructivism. Work III represented the history of expressing integration in a new form, and work IV emphasized characteristics of androgyne existing in mutual relationship. Work V and VI expressed the image of amusement in the form of completeness and coincidence. Hereupon, we have suggested feasibility of free expression and diversified design of body art by applying characteristics of de-constructivism on the body art. In addition, it is anticipated for integrated research with wide latitude to develop body art in the field of fine art.
