댄스스포츠에 관한 대중예술로의 가치와 방안

Abstract

대중문화 예술 산업은 우리나라의 사회적, 경제적 발전에 큰 기여를 하고 있으며 대중들도 풍요로운 삶의 질에 향상을 위한 관심도와 문화생활의 참여도가 높아지고 있다. 무용분야도 마찬가지로 사회적 상황을 인식하고 문화적 가치를 창출하고자 다양한 방면에서 새로운 시도를 하고 있는 상태이다. 무용예술분야는 지금 현대사회에서의 문화산업으로 자리매김하고 있는 상태지만 대중화는 무용예술이 갖는 중요한 숙제라 할 수 있다. ‘무용의 대중화’는 대중들과의 상호작용을 통해 폭넓게 무용에 대한 흥미와 관심을 유발함으로써 무용을 보다 친숙하도록 만들어나가는 현상을 의미한다. 라틴댄스 또한 대중의 간극을 좁히기 위한 매개체로 TV 프로그램의 활성화와 다른 분야의 장르들과 공연을 마련하여 대중예술로서 타 분야와 다양하게 융합하며 이 같은 추세에 힘입어 대중으로부터 큰 호응을 얻으며, 보다 쉽게 가깝게 다가갈 수 있는 무용예술임을 보이면서 점차적으로 대중성을 확보 해 나가고 있다. 무용예술의 대중화는 끊임없는 연구와 새로운 시도에도 불구하고 다른 문화예술분야 중 현저하게 더딘 대중화 속도를 보이고 있다. 본 연구에서는 라틴댄스가 가지고 있는 특성과 분야별로 대중예술이 가지고 있는 특성을 모색하고 가치를 크게 사회문화적 가치, 예술적 가치, 교육적 가치, 신체적 가치, 그리고 이 모든 가치를 통합한 대중적 가치로 나누어 연구 하였다. 이를 토대로 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫 번째, 라틴댄스의 사회문화적 가치로는 상호간의 배려와 파트너와의 호흡, 의사소통, 소속감, 리더십, 인내, 협동심, 책임감, 예의 등 질서와 타인에 대한 인격존중 등의 가치를 들 수 있으며 나이와 성별의 상관없이 누구나 향유할 수 있는 춤 문화이며, 서로간의 예의범절을 중시하는 춤으로 요즘 시대에 필요한 매너와 사회성을 함양한다. 두 번째, 예술적 가치로는 다양한 음악과 리듬에 맞춰 다양한 동작과 기술로 구성을 실제적 움직임을 연결하며 동작들이 기능적이고 신체의 아름다운 선과 공간미를 창출하는 공간적 움직임 예술이다. 세 번째, 교육적 가치로는 신체를 통해 음악에 맞춰 예술을 아름답게 표현함으로써 미적 가치를 정서적인 표현하며 협동력과 자기 표현활동을 중심으로 창의성발휘 및 개발시켜주며, 작품을 직접적으로 창작함으로 창의적인 사고와 창조적 행동을 유발시켜 표현의 탐구력과 상상력을 증진 키워준다. 네 번째, 신체적 가치로는 댄스와 스포츠를 혼합한 스포츠 장르로 운동역학적 측면에서 평형성을 길러 주는데 적합하며, 활발한 대 근육 활동으로 지구력과 근력, 유연성을 발달시켜줄 뿐만 아니라, 비교적 빠른 리듬감으로 심폐기능의 향상에도 크게 도움을 준다. 다섯 번째, 대중적 가치로는 사람들에게 즐거움을 주는 유희성, 스스로가 경험할 수 있는 참여성, 그리고 사람간의 조화를 중요시하는 사회성이라는 대중적 특징, 또한 화려한 의상과 경쾌한 음악, 현란한 동작, 특이한 연출들로 대중들의 눈길을 사로잡고 인기를 끌며 TV프로그램과 SNS를 통한 라틴댄스에 대한 대중들의 관심도와 인기가 대두되고 있으며 다른 춤 장르와 콜라보레이션(Collaboration)을 하며 라틴 코레오(Latin Choreo)라는 하나의 장르를 창작하며 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 이렇게 라틴댄스의 내재된 가치를 나누어 탐색하며 라틴댄스의 내재된 가치들을 통해 대중문화예술로서의 대중적 가치를 발견하였고, 라틴댄스의 대중문화예술로서의 앞으로의 대중적으로 발전 가능한 방안을 제시하였다.|The industry of pop culture and arts has contributed greatly to the development of Korea socially and economically. And also, people are more interested in the fruitful life and participation in cultural life. Likewise, the dance field has attempted several approaches to recognise social circumstances and create curtual values. Although the dance art is definitively positioned in curtural industry, its popularizaiton is still important issue in this field. The popularization of dance means the phenomenon which people are more familiar to dance by inducing interest through enhancing the interaction. Latin dance has utilized TV show and collaborated with other public art to narrow the gap to people. These attempts make significant interest of people to Latin dance, which is effective approach to increase the popularity of Latin dance. In spite of many studies and attempts, the popularitity of dance art is stlll not satisfied compared to other culture and art field. In this study, the characteristics of Latin dance and popular art were explored, and the value of them was devied into socio-cultural value, artistic value, educational value, physical value, and public value as integrated all these values. Consequently, the following results are obtained. First, the socio-cultural values of Latin dance include mutal consideration and partnership, communication, sense of belonging, leadership, patience, cooperation, respensibility, ans respect for other. It is a Latin dance that anyone can enjoy regardless of age and gender. People also ontained the manners and socaility, which is required in mordern social life, through Latin dance. Second, as an artistic value, it is a spatial movement art that creates beutiful lines and spacial beuty of the body by connection between various movements and techniques in accordance with music and rhythms. Third, the Latin dance is valuable as educational activity that can express emotionally aesthetic value by the expressing the body to the music. This activity is helpful to develop creativity centerring on cooperation and self-expression, and promotes the exploration and imagination of expression by inducing creative thinking and behavior by creacting work directly. Fourth, Latin dance, which is a sport genre that combines dance and sports, is suitable for developing equilibrium in aspect of kinematics. It is helpful to develop endurance, musle strength, and flexibility through large musle activities. In addition, Latin dance significantly improves cardiopulmonary functions through a relatively fast rhythmical movement. Fianlly, Latin dance has a value as popular art. Latin dance makes playfullness, participation of self expression and social characteristics that value harmony between people, as well as attracting and popularitiy with colorful costumes, cheerful music, flashy movements, and unusual performances, and public interest in Latin dance through TV show and SNS. By the exploring intrinsic values of Latin dance in several aspect, the various values of Latin dance as popular culture and art were discovered, and meaningful approcahes for inducing the polularization and development potential were suggested.
