놀이 활용을 통한 음악개념의 지도 방안 연구 : 초등학교 저학년을 중심으로

Abstract

이 세상에는 수많은 음악이 존재하고 있고 그 음악 안에는 다양한 음악의 요소가 담겨져 있다. 이처럼 다양한 음?퓽? 이해하고 느끼기 위해서는 일차적으로 음악의 전반적인 구성에 대한 개념과 원리의 이해가 필요하다. 즉, 특정한 음악이나 한정된 지식, 그리고 음악의 각 영역을 동떨어져 가르치는 것이 아니라 모든 음악에 적용되는 음악의 기본 개념을 가르치고 모든 음악활동의 필수적인 영역들을 통합적으로 가르쳐 보는 것이다. 이러한 음악 지도를 효율적으로 하기 위해서는 어린이 스스로 능동적으로 참여하는 학습 방법을 적용하는 것이 중요하다. 이에 본 연구는 '놀이'를 음악활동에 적용함으로써 어린이들이 음악적 감각 능력을 향상시키고 창의성을 향상시킬 수 있도록 하기 위한 방안을 모색해 보았다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 초등학교 저학년 어린이들로 하여금 놀이 중심 프로그램을 통하여 음악 개념을 형성하고 발전시킬 수 있도록 흥미롭고 재미있는 학습 방안을 개발하는 것에 중점을 두었다. 먼저 여러 가지 문헌 연구를 통해 음악의 개념적 학습의 중요성, 놀이의 교육적 의의 및 음악 놀이를 통한 교육의 가치, 초등학교 저학년 어린이의 발달 특징을 고찰하고 초등학교 저학년 '즐거운 생활' 교육과정의 내용을 분석하였다. 그리고 이를 바탕으로 리듬, 가락, 음색, 셈여림, 빠르기, 화음, 형식에 대한 개념 학습을 어린이들의 수업 시간에 실제적으로 활용할 수 있는 다양한 놀이를 수집·개발하였다. 이러한 놀이 학습을 초등학교 저학년 어린이들에게 활용해 봄으로써 음악 수업이 교사의 설명에 의존하는 수업으로 진행되는 것이 아니라 어린이가 직접 놀이 활동에 참여함으로써 스스로 음악을 만들고 탐색하며 자기 나름대로의 음악을 표현할 수 있도록 폭넓은 기회를 제공하였다. 앞으로도 모든 어린이들의 흥미와 관심, 발달 단계를 고려한 새로운 음악놀이의 개발과 끊임없는 연구가 더 많이 확대되고 발전되어야 할 것이다.|There are so many different kinds of music in the world, and they are made up of various elements of music. In order to understand and sense the various kinds of music, it is, first of all, necessary to understand concepts and principles regarding the general structure of music. That is, it is important to attempt to teach the basic concepts of music applied to all kinds of music, and the necessary domains of all kinds of music synthetically, rather than teaching a specific kind of music, a limited amount of knowledge, or each domain of music separately. It is essential to apply learning methods that lead children to participate in the process of learning actively, for the purposes of efficient music teaching. This paper explores some methods to help children to improve their talent in comprehending music and creativeness. This paper is focused on the development of interesting and enjoyable learning methods, so that children in the lower grades at elementary schools can understand musical concepts, and improve their understanding of music through play-oriented programs. First, it reviewed previous literature, and by doing so, examined the importance of the conceptual learning of music, the educational significance of play, the educational value of playing with music, and the characteristics of children's growth in the lower grades at elementary schools, followed by an analysis of the educational course of 'Enjoyable Life' for children in the lower grades at elementary schools. Based on this, I collected and developed various plays regarding the conceptual learning of rhythm, a tune, a tone, strength and dynamic, tempo, a chord and a form, which can be applied in the children's classroom. This play-oriented learning was not developed for music classes that would rely on teachers' explanations, but that would provide children with a wide range of opportunities to participate in play activities directly, to make and explore music for themselves, and to express music in their own ways. It seems that more study is required regarding new programs on playing with music that consider every child's interest and growth stages.
