내부 정렬 알고리즘 학습을 위한 웹기반 교육 프로그램의 설계 및 구현

Abstract

인터넷을 이용한 웹의 활용가치가 각 산업분야에 인식되면서 웹을 기반으로 한 시스템 개발이 활발히 이뤄지고 있다. 교육 분야에서도 기존의 컴퓨터 보조 수업(CAI) 프로그램들이 인터?鳧? 통한 웹기반 교육(Web Based Instruction) 프로그램으로 개발되고 있는데, 이는 인터넷상의 정보획득이 보편화되었으며 시간과 공간을 초월하여 더욱 다양한 지식을 얻을 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 본 논문에서는 대학교 전산학과 저학년 학생들에게 필수적인 자료구조 과목에서 자료처리에 사용되는 내부 정렬(Internal Sort) 알고리즘을 주제로 한 웹기반 교육 프로그램을 설계 및 구현하였다. 구현된 프로그램은 내부 정렬 알고리즘들의 특징을 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 내부 정렬 알고리즘에 대한 이론 학습과 정렬과정을 직접 시뮬레이션 해 볼 수 있는 실습 과정으로 구성되었는데 특히 웹의 멀티미디어적 특성을 살림으로써 학습자가 알고리즘에 대한 설명을 들을 수 있고 정렬 알고리즘을 직접 실행해 볼 수 있다. World Wide Web상에서의 교육을 가능하게 해 주는 본 웹기반 교육 프로그램은 내부 정렬 알고리즘 이론을 좀 더 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 하였고 웹을 이용한 원격 교육에 새로운 가능성을 제시하였다.|As applications of the world wide web by means of the internet to many areas usually make jobs done easier, several systems based on the web are also developed for each application field. For education, the early method of computer assisted instructions has been improving into web based instructions through the web, which means we can get information and knowledge in the web at any moment and at any place where a computer is connected to the internet. In this thesis, we developed a web based instruction system that simulates the principal behavior of each step of some internal sorting algorithms, which are fundamental problem-solving approaches to understand basic data structures for students in the first or second year of the course at the department of computer science. The system displays the movement of each element graphically and dictates to a user what is going on for each step when the sorting algorithm is running, and has interactive buttons to start, stop, and continue the sorting procedure. The web based instruction system makes students easier under-stood the theory of the internal sorting algorithms through the world wide web. Therefore, we have proposed a new application of the web to education using multimedia techniques.
