날개 이미지의 금속조형연구

Abstract

현대사회 속의 수많은 규범과 규제들이 인간의 삶을 제약하기 때문에 인간은 늘 자유를 갈망하게 된다. 이러한 답답한 현실적 구속성에서 벗어 나고자하는 이미지를 구속적 느낌의 탈피체로서 날개 이미지를 연구하였다. 날개는 오래 전부터 자유를 상징하는 의미로 사용되어왔다. 이러한 의미로 볼때 본 연구자의 내적 경험 즉 현실적 구속성에서 탈피하고자 하는 자유의지를 날개 이미지로 나타내고자 하는 것이다. 따라서 날개의 조형화에 있어 구체적 형태의 탐구가 아니라 본인의 내적 감정에 이입시키고자 하였으며 공간으로의 비상하는 분위기를 부각시키기 위해 빛의 사용으로 자유의지를 더욱 부각시키고자 하였다. 이와 같은 날개의 내재된 이미지를 금속공예를 통하여 그 의미를 전달하고자 하였으며 심미적 가치를 지닌 실내조형물로서의 역할을 도모하였다. 그럼으로써 본 연구자는 공예품의 미적 가치를 높여 주고자 하였으며 공예의 기능적, 논리적, 합리적 성격에도 부응하고자 하였다.|Due to the rules and regulations of the modern society that confine human life, men incessantly seek freedom. This research is devoted to an image of wing as a means of escape from helpless confinement of reality. Wings have been long used as the symbol of freedom. Thus, I wish to express an inner experience of mine, a free will that seeks escape from confinement of reality, through an image of a wing. Therefore, in building the wing, fusing in my inner experience was of more importance than investigating the detailed form of the wing. Moreover, light was used to stress the image which has been extended into space and to express free will. Through metal work, underlying images of the wing is expressed and it serves the purpose of indoor sculpture with esthetic value as well. By doing this, I intended to enhance the aesthetic value of the craftwork and meet with the funtional, logical, reasonable purposes of metal work.
