국어 규범 교육의 문제점과 개선 방안 연구

Abstract

규범에 맞는 언어생활은 원활한 의사소통의 기본이 된다. 하지만 대부분의 사람들은 국어에도 규범이 있다는 사실을 잘 모르고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국어 규범과 관련된 ‘교육 과정’의 체계와 ‘교과서’의 내용에 문제가 있다고 보고, ‘국어생활’과 ‘문법’ 교과서의 검토를 통해 국어 규범 교육의 문제점을 찾고, 개선 방안을 제시하였다. 서론에서는 국어 규범의 의미와 국어 규범 교육의 필요성에 관해 살펴보았다. 국어의 규범은 좁은 의미에서, 4대 규범인 한글 맞춤법, 표준어 규정, 외래어 표기법, 국어의 로마자 표기법을 뜻한다. 국어 규범에 대한 사람들의 인식이 아직 확산되지 않았으며, 학교 교육이 강화될 필요가 있다. 제2장과 제3장에서는 제7차 국어과 교육 과정에 있는 국어 규범과 관련된 부분을 검토하였다. 제7차 고등학교 국어과 교육 과정에서, 국어 규범이 단원으로 설정된 과목은 ‘국어생활’과 ‘문법’이다. 국어 규범과 관련된 단원이 교육 과정의 구성에 따라 어떻게 ‘국어생활’과 ‘문법’ 교과서에 반영되었는지 분석해 보았다. ‘국어생활’ 교과서에서는 ‘실천’을 통한 국어 규범 교육이 강조되었으며, ‘문법’ 교과서에서는 원리나 개념 학습이 강조되었다. 한편 2007년 국어과 개정 교육 과정의 변화는 ‘국어’의 검정 체제 전환, ‘국어생활’의 폐지, ‘매체 언어’의 신설로 요약될 수 있다. 2007년 개정 교육 과정의 ‘국어’에서는 국어 규범과 관련된 부분이 ‘문법 영역’에 포함되어 있고, 선택 과목인 ‘문법’에서는 ‘실제 언어생활’이 강조되었다. 마지막 장에서는 국어 규범 교육의 문제점과 개선방안을 제시하였다. ‘국어생활’과 ‘문법’ 과목 간에 국어 규범에 관한 학습 내용이 얼마나 유기적인지 알 수 없었고, 그 단계도 심화?발전되었다고 보기 어려웠다. 국어 규범과 관련된 학습 내용이 중복되지 않으면서 심화?발전되기 위해서는, 먼저 ‘국어’의 ‘문법 영역’과 선택 과목인 ‘문법’의 성격이 명확히 구별되어야 한다. 그리고 학생들이 국어의 규범을 단계별로 배울 수 있도록 학습 내용의 기준이 마련되어야 할 것이다.|Language life complying with language norms serves as a basis of amicable communication, but most Koreans are unaware that Korean language has norms. The author in this study defined that the system of 'curriculum' related to Korean norms and the contents of 'textbooks' should be discussed, identified problems through examining textbooks including 'Korean Language Life' and 'Korean Grammar', and presented measures of improvement. In Introduction, significance of Korean norms and necessity of education of the norms are provided. Korean norms, in a narrow sense, indicate the Four Norms including Korean Orthography, Standard Language Regulations, Orthography for Loanwords in Korean, and Romanization of Korean. The recognition of Korean norms has not yet generalized, and education for them in schools should be reinforced. In Chapter 2 and 3, contents related to Korean norms in the Seventh National Curriculum of Korean Language were investigated. In the Seventh National Curriculum of Korean Language for High School, there are two textbooks, 'Korean Language Life' and 'Korean Grammar', concluding Korean norms as a unit. The ways of the units related to Korean norms reflected in 'Korean Language Life' and 'Korean Grammar' were analyzed according to the composition of the curriculum. Education of Korean norms through 'practice' was emphasized in 'Korean Language Life', and principles or concept learning were stressed in 'Korean Grammar'. Meanwhile, changes in the revision of Korean Language Curriculum in 2007 may be summarized to be authorization system conversion of 'Korean Language', abolition of 'Korean Language Life', and introduction of 'Media Language'. In 'Korean Language' in the revision of Korean Language Curriculum in 2007, contents related to Korean norms are included in 'Grammar Domain', and 'Actual Language Life' is emphasized in 'Korean Grammar', an optional subject. In the last chapter, problems of education of Korean norms and measures of improvement were presented. It was unclear whether the contents of learning on Korean norms are organically connected between 'Korean Language Life' and 'Korean Grammar', and it is difficult to say that the phases are constructed to be deepened and developed. In order to avoid overlapping of and to deepen and develop the learning contents related to Korean norms, it is necessary to precisely distinguish the peculiarities between the 'Grammar Domain' in 'Korean Language' and 'Korean Grammar' as an optional subject. Also, standards on learning contents should be established in order for students to learn Korean norms according to the phases.
