구름(雲) 形象의 生活陶磁 디자인 硏究

Abstract

자연은 항상 인간과 함께 존재하며 예술의 표현 대상이 되어왔다. 자연 중에서도 변화무쌍한 구름형상은 인간내면의 조형의지를 표현할 수 있는 무한한 가능성을 지녔기에 예술작품의 소재로 널리 사용되어 왔다. 예로부터 구름은 신에게 소원을 청원하기 위한 하나의 매개체로서 선인들이 음양을 부리는 중요한 도구로 사용해 왔다. 또 구름은 이상향의 세계를 동경하는 인간의 심리를 반영하기도 한다. 여행지와 산, 들에서 본 구름은 맑고 쾌청하고 동산에서 바라본 뭉게구름은 어린 시절의 좋은 추억이었으며 쾌적한 환경의 척도였다. 그러나 현재 오염된 도시에서는 선명한 구름을 보기 힘들며 이는 마치 도심 속에서 상실되어 가는 인간의 순수함을 대변하는 듯하다. 현대인의 바쁜 삶 속에서 잊혀진 우리들의 마음속에 구름을 되찾는 것이야말로, 인간성 회복을 기원하는 의미라고 생각하여 우리 마음속에 담겨진 구름의 형상을 모티브로 삼아 생활용?걋? 제작하고자 하였다. 경제적인 윤택함으로 인해 사람들은 단지 사용만 할 수 있는 용적인 기능에서 벗어나 시각적인 즐거움을 찾고자 하는 경향을 보인다. 이에 따라 산업도자기 분야에서도 그동안 발달되어 왔던 인간공학측면에서 벗어나 개인의 감성적인 요소를 충족시킬 수 있는 생활용품 개발이 필요한 실정이다. 이를 감안해서 작업에 들어가기전 구름의 상징적 형상과 시각적 기능에 충실한 생활용기를 고찰하였으며 현대예술의 흐름에 맞는 조형의 의미도 중시하여 작업하였다. 생활도자 중 기(器)와 주전자, 합, 화기, 접시, 조명등, 양념기 등을 제작하여 실생활에 적용함으로써 현대인들의 마음에 동심과 향수 어린 추억을 되찾아 주고자 하였다. 제작방법은 석고주입성형을 선택했고, 태토는 백색도가 양호한 자기질 점토를 사용하였다. 소성은 850℃로 1차 소성한 후 기물의 형태와 놓여질 음식의 색상, 장식성을 고려하여 투명유, 코발트유, 청자유로 시유했으며 유약에 따라 1250℃ 전후에서 2차 소성하였고, 800℃로 3차 소성하였다.|Nature has been always with human beings and also has been the subject of artistic expressions. More than anything else in nature, the various shapes of clouds have so infinite possibilities which can express the will to create plastic art of human inside that have been used widely as materials for arts. From old times, cloud was a medium to plead wishes to God, used as an important tool for hermits to exercise the cosmetic forces, and also reflected human mentality longing for the Ideal World. Clouds over mountains, yards, and trip places were high and nice. A cloudbank seen up on the hill was a good recollection in childhood and a measurement for the pleasant surroundings. But nowadays, it's hard to see a clean and clear cloud in polluted cities and this seems to represent the innocence of man which have been lost in cities. Having clouds back to our mind forgotten in a modern busy life could mean to pray for recovery of humanity. So this researcher intended to develope living wares with the motive of the shape of clouds held in our mind. By the economic abundance, the trend to seek for the visual pleasure as well as the useful function of things is vigorous. And it is needed to develop living wares which can satisfy emotional factors of man among convenient industrial ceramics developed by human-technology. For this reason, this researcher considered symbolic forms of clouds and ceramic wares faithful to visual function before commencing work, and also took a serious view of the meaning of the contemporary plastic art. This researcher tried for the moderns to get back innocence and recollection full of nostalgia by manufacturing ceramic wares like a bowl, a kettle, a brass bowl with a lid, a flower vase, a dish, an illuminator, a cruet, etc. As for Manufacturing method, this researcher used the molding to inject slip and the ceramic clay whose whiteness is good as base soil. As for calcination, this researcher tried primary calcination at 850℃ and glazed each item with transparent glaze, cobalt glaze, celadon porcelain glaze respectively considering the shape of the item, the color of foods to be put in and decoration nature. Secondary calcination was done below or above 1250℃ depending on the glaze used. And, as for tertiary calcination, this researcher tried calcination at 800℃.
