곤충의 형태를 이용한 금속 조명등 연구

Abstract

예술가의 창작활동에 있어서 생명의 모태인 자연은 끊임없이 예술가의 심성이나 이미지를 자극하여 다양한 방법으로 자기 내면을 표현하는 창조적인 표현매체가 되어 왔다. 이것은 자연이 다른 어떤 소재보다도 접하기 쉽고 무한한 잠재력을 갖고 있기 때문일 ?痼甄?. 그 중에서 곤충은 작지만 종류만도 100여 만종에 달하여 자연의 순환요소로써 긴밀한 유대관계를 맺으며 변화해왔고, 그 종류와 특성은 아직 인간이 발견하지 못한 것이 있을 만큼 매우 다양하다. 더욱이 곤충은 종류에 따라 다양한 특성을 지녔고 형태, 색채, 질감 등에서 조형성을 발견할 수 있으며 그들의 생성, 변이과정과 특성들은 대단히 경이로워 신비로움과 호기심의 대상이 되었다. 이에 본 연구자는 자연생태계의 한 부류인 곤충을 대상으로 그들만이 갖는 생태적 생활방식과 형태적 특성을 조형화 하였고, 현대에 와서 빛의 질적인 이용과 외관 디자인이 중요시되고 있는 조명에 접목하여 다양한 곤충 형태의 특징을 살린 개성있고 심미적인 장식용 조명등을 제작하고자 하였다. 이러한 목적을 위한 이론적 배경으로는 장식적 조명의 역할과 조명기구의 종류 및 곤충의 생태적 특성과 형태상의 조형적 특성을 조사하였고, 조형 표현 방법으로는 곤충의 형태적, 생태적 특성을 비교적 사실적인 디자인에서 점차 변화, 생략, 강조, 단순화된 형태로 재구성하여 조형의 다양성을 추구하였다. 이러한 조형표현을 통해 본 연구자는 자연의 모티브(Motive)중 곤충의 조형적 특성을 접?舟? 조명등이 실내공간 안에서 다양한 이미지로 시각적 흥미를 유발시키며, 심미적 가치를 지닌 장식용 조명등의 영역 확대와 가능성을 모색하고자 하였다.|Many artists have expressed their impressions and artistic images from the mother nature. It comes from the fact that nature is easy to access and is resourceful by itself. Especially insects, whose body is tiny and whose kinds are various over more than million, have developed for many years keeping in touch with the nature and the kinds and characteristics are too various for us to count. Moreover the way of birth and the process of conversion are so miraculous that many people have payed attention to insects, and we can find out some aspects of the formative arts through the shape, color and texture of insects. I, here in this study, am trying to link artistic lamps and structure of insects in order to achieve my study purpose. First of all, as of theoretical approach, I researched the usefulness of, and the kind of lamps. And biological and structural characteristics of insects were needed for my study. Secondly, as of methodological study, I described the symbolic image and structure of insects through emphasis and omission. These emphasis and omission were pointed to eyes, head, body, legs and wings of insects. My main purpose is to enhance the artistic feature of lamps which gives brightness to our space. That is to give our lives lost of interests and artistic meanings.
