고등학교 음악 감상 수업을 위한 현대음악의 지도 방법 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 20C 삶의 양식이 반영되어 있는 현대음악이 청소?竪涌“? 필요하다는 전제 하에서, 고등학생들에게 적합한 작품을 선정하고, 구안한 지도 단계에 따라 지도 내용을 체계화시키고자 하였다. 현대음악 학습은 학생들에게 창의력과 사고력을 길러주며 넓은 음향 세계를 향한 다양한 음악적 경험을 가능하게 한다. 또한 20C 사회와 문화를 이해하고, 미래의 음악 문화를 받아들이는데 필요한 새로운 미적 감각을 갖도록 도와준다. 그러나 실제 학교 현장에서는 이러한 현대음악의 교육적 가치가 제대로 인정받지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 음악을 이해하고 받아들이는 것은 교육으로부터 큰 영향을 받기 때문에 현대 음악에 필요한 음악적 지식은 학교 교육을 통해 습득되어야 한다. 이를 위해서는 교과서에 현대음악이 균형 있게 선정되어야 하고, 교사들을 위한 현대음악의 재교육이 이루어져야 하며, 학교 현장에서 쉽게 활용될 수 있는 학습 자료 및 교수법이 개발되어야 한다. 먼저, 현대음악 학습 제재곡으로 선정한 작품은 조지 거쉰의 ＜Rhapsody in Blue＞이다. 1920년대에 발표된 ＜Rhapsody in Blue＞는 19C 말 후기 낭만시대의 특징과 20C 초 유럽 음악계의 변화가 잘 반영된 매우 미국적인 곡이며, 고전형식에 얽매이지 않는 즉흥적인 요소가 가미된 음악구조를 사용하였고, 이 작품을 통하여 재즈와 전통음악을 연결시키고자 하는 목적을 달성하였다. 다음으로, 지도의 과정을 ＜감상 활동- 문헌을 통한 작품의 이해- 분석적 이해- 종합적 이해- 전이적 활동＞으로 구안하고 단계별 학습지도 방안을 제시하였다. 첫 번째 단계인 감상 활동은 음악 감상을 통한 동기 유발의 과정으로 음악을 들려줌으로써 현대음악에 호기심을 가질 수 있도록 하였다. 감상 후에는 느낀 점을 발표하고 토론하도록 함으로써 학생들의 사고력과 언어적 표현력을 향상시키고자 하였다. 두 번째 단계인 문헌을 통한 작품의 이해는 작품의 외형적 현상들을 살펴보는 과정으로 다양한 문헌들을 통해 작곡가의 생애와 작곡 동기, 작품 내용과 시대적·사회적 배경 등을 살펴보도록 하였다. 세 번째 단계인 분석적 이해는 제 7차 교과 과정의 이해를 바탕으로 하여 작품 분석을 하고자 하였고, 작곡 기법 및 작품을 구성하고 있는 여러 가지 음악의 요소와 그 개념을 파악하는 과정으로 낮선 현대음악의 이해를 위해 다양한 악보 (총보, 부분 악보)와 도표들을 제시하여 음악의 구조 및 음악적 구성 요소와 그 개념을 이해하도록 하였다. 네 번째 단계인 종합적 ?鎌娩? 학습한 내용들을 정리하여 작품을 이해하는 과정이다. 전체 악곡을 감상하면서 총보를 읽을 수 있게 된다면 작품을 종합적으로 이해하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 마지막 단계인 전이적 활동은 창작과 즉흥 연주, 비교 감상을 통해 현대음악을 폭넓게 이해하는 과정이다. 창작을 위해 여러 과제들을 제시하였고, 비교 감상을 위해 거쉰의 또 다른 작품인 Opera ＜Porgy and Bess＞와 ＜3 Prelude for Piano＞를 제시 하였다.|In this study, this researcher tries to systematize the guidance contents in accordance with the guidance stage to choose and draw up the work to be suitable for high school students under the premise that the Contemporary music that the lifestyle of the 20th century is being reflected is necessary for youths. Contemporary music study fosters originality and thinking power for students enables the diverse musical experiences toward wide sound world. Besides, it helps them to have new aesthetic sense to be necessary for understanding the society and culture of the 20th century and accepting future music and culture. But, it is the real situation that the educational value of this Contemporary music is failing to be recognized right at real school spot. As understanding and accepting music are influenced by education greatly, musical knowledge to be necessary for Contemporary music should be acquired through school education. For this, Contemporary music should be chosen in textbooks, the reeducation of Contemporary music for teachers should be made, and the study data and teaching method which may be utilized at school spot easily should be developed. First, the work chosen as the theme music for Contemporary music study is ＜Rhapsody in Blue＞ by George Gershwin. ＜Rhapsody in Blue＞ announced in 1920s is very American-style music that the feature of post-romanticism period at the end of the 19th century and the change of European music world in the early 20th century were reflected well, the music structure that the improvisatorial element which is not bound by classical form was added was used, and it attained the goal to try to link jazz and traditional music. Next, this researcher drew up the course of guidance with ＜apppreciation activity - understanding of work through literature - analytical understanding - composite understanding - changing activity＞ and presented the scheme of study guidance by stages. Appreciation activity which is the first stage enabled students to have the curiosity for Contemporary music by letting them listen to music as the course of motive induction through music appreciation. This researcher tried to improve their thinking power and the power of expression by letting them announce and discuss what they felt after appreciation. The understanding of work through literature which is the second stage is the course to examine the external phenomena of work. Then, this researcher enabled them to examine he lifetime of composers, the composition motive, the work contents, and the timely and social background etc. through diverse literatures. In the analytical understanding which is the third stage, this researcher tried to analyze work on the basis of the understanding of the 7th curriculum. And, it is the course to grasp the composition technique, various music elements which are constituting works, and the concept. Then, this researcher enabled students to understand the structure of music, the musical composition elements, and the concep by presenting diverse musics(full score and partial music) and charts for the understanding of strange Contemporary music. The composite understanding which is the fourth stage is the course to understand works by arranging the contents that they studied. Getting to be able to read full score while appreciating whole musical piece may give help to understanding works collectively. The changing activity which is the last stage is the course to understand Contemporary music widely through the creation, the improvisatorial performance, and the comparative appreciation. This researcher presented various subjects for creation and presented Opera ＜Porgy and Bess＞ and ＜3 Prelude for Piano＞ which are another works of Gershwin.
